God Is Love?

Hold on. Could it be that god loves the buzzard more than the kid? If so, it all makes perfect sense.

I don't believe that you need someone to tell you to help another, no one can say that they are good 100% of the time. If yourselfish or dishonest then thats something you should want to change yourself.

Ah, but it's helpful to have someone (or something) to remind you and encourage you, and when things look really bleak, inspire you to think there might actually be something you can do about a problem.

If you and your type were serving god with all your heart, mind and strength, why are we still seeing these types of images? Maybe it's time you all got more organized. How about you buy a bunch of airline tickets, fly down there and put your superior moral values to work. Travelocity's got some incredible deals going on right now.

We do what we can with what we have.

Mormons Descend on Tornado-Hit Areas in Florida

Mormons Set Up Food Kitchens to Feed Community After Jakarta Floods
Response to Typhoon Durian in the Philippines
Mormons in the Philippines Help Community Recover
Mormon Women Sew Clothes for Children in Malawi
Church Recognized for Humanitarian Efforts
Latter-day Saints Send Aid to Middle East

Tell me again we aren't doing anything.

Yeah, I'm sure Becky will be able to take a few friends over to Africa and stop civil wars and famines.

Why don't you give it a try and see how far you get with that? Then you'll be in a position to tell Becky what to do.

You're going to let a little fighting stand in the way of doing what's right? Shame on you.

Why don't I give it a try? It must be my lack of morals.

It astounds me how humans can be so compassionate for their own but care almost nothing for other animals. We are animals. If you like the fact or not, we are. What do we do for example when the deer population in Texas gets to high and the deer start starving like this? We raise the limit that the hunters can kill.

They reintroduced wolves into northern Michigan to help remedy this problem.

I personally would stop both…that’s just me…

There are people who work on each. If everyone focuses on everything, nothing much gets accomplished.

I do more on the environmental angle, myself, just because I'm a hopeless aggie and always have been. My work (and indeed my business) involves educating people in ways to use their land to support wildlife. One neighbor and I (both of us Master Gardeners) started a movement in our neighborhood that eventually grew into a project to have Chamblee the first certified Community Wildlife Habitat in the Southeast U.S.

For years I've been involved in Schoolyard Wildlife Habitats -- in educating our next generation in how to use their land for everyone's benefit. Many of these kids have gone home and asked their parents why they use chemicals on the lawn and so forth, and some of the parents have looked into it and decided they didn't need to poison things after all.

Anyway, I wouldn't assume that people aren't willing to make a difference. Many of them are, some could use a little information, and some a bit of inspiration.

So get out there and inspire someone!

Why do you fix posts? You fixed mine before, and it wasn't necessary.
Because alot of times someone post is very close to what I believe, at least in the way it is worded. Either that, or there is something that the poster has overlooked that may change the meaning of what they are saying greatly. I always indicate when I have altered someone's post though. At that point, you can consider what is being said entirely mine, if you so desire.

It's done quite often in another forum I frequent, and I like it :)

At least I'm typing out "I fixed your post" instead of just putting IFYP like I would there .

Touch my post again and I'll be forced to take action.
