[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone but they are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. When you see them offer the prayer."

(Hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari)

 

[Cordoba]

The sun eclipsed in the life-time of Allah's Apostle on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim.

Allah's Apostle said,

"The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of some-one. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah."

Narrated Aisha:

I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I have two neighbors; which of them should I give a gift to?"

The Prophet said, "(Give) to the one whose door is nearer to you."

Narrated Abu Qatada:

The Prophet came out towards us, while carrying Umamah, (his grand-daughter) the daughter of Abi Al-As, over his shoulder.

He prayed, and when he wanted to bow, he put her down, and when he stood up, he lifted her up.

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"(The performance of) 'Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise."

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

The Prophet was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel visited him, and Gabriel used to meet him on every night of Ramadan till the end of the month.

The Prophet used to recite the Holy Qur'an to Gabriel, and when Gabriel met him, he used to be more generous than a fast wind (which causes rain and welfare).

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"One who repents from sin is like one without sin."

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

Maintain truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Heaven; A man continues to maintain truthfulness until he is recorded in Allah's book as truthful.

Refrain from lying, for lying leads to blatant evil, and evil leads to Hell; A man continues to lie until he is recorded in Allah's book as a liar."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained"[/FONT]

Ramadan Mubarak In-Shaa-Allah

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

Whosoever fasts in Ramadan with faith and seeking Allah’s reward, all his past sins will be forgiven.

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"If one does not abandon falsehood in words and deeds, Allah has no need for his abandoning his food and drink."

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"Cure your sick people with sadaqah ( charity)!"

(Hadith in Abu Dawud)

Once a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him),

“Advise me!” and the Prophet said,

“Do not become angry.”

The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet said each time,

“Do not become angry.”

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

"What a blessed man `Abdullah is! Should he perform Prayer at night, he would be blessed even more."

(Hadith in Al-Bukhari)

 

[Cordoba]

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

"There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it.

It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?'

They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully, then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk has given to him by Allah"

[Cordoba]

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

"The difference between our fasting and the fasting of the people of the Book lies in the eating of suhur (the pre-dawn meal)."

(Hadith in Sahih Muslim)

And in another hadith, he (peace be upon him) said:

"Have suhur. There is blessing in suhur."

[Cordoba]

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

“The gates of Paradise are not opened but on two days, Monday and Thursday, and then every servant (of Allah) is granted pardon who does not associate anything with Allah except the person in whose (heart) there is rancor against his brother.

And it would be said: ‘Look towards both of them until there is reconciliation; look toward both of them until there is reconciliation; look towards both of them until there is reconciliation.’”

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:


"Allah will cover up on the Day of Resurrection the defects (faults) of the one who covers up the faults of the others in this world".

(Hadith in Sahih Muslim)

 

[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

“Islam is built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, performing Prayer, paying the Zakah, making the pilgrimage to the Sacred House (Hajj), and fasting the month of Ramadan.”
