Hatred of Christianity!

JacobEzra.

Dr. Greenthumb
Like homophobia, all those hate signs you see in protests like "God hates Gays", "Gods hates Sweden", "God hates Australia" God hates America" "God hates atheists". Not to mention the smouldering hatred for Jews which lasted for centuries through indoctrinating people by labelling Jews as "Christ Killers" which culminated in the Holocaust. Martin Luther was every bit as much an anti-Semitist as Hitler was but the biggest difference he did not have the gas. Yes I know where the hate is coming from.
Oh wow, sounds like your trying to say every Christian is and has been an anti-semite.

That and as if WBC is the only "Christian" people out there.

That was not a doctrine. That was personal hatred supported by ignorance. Never was that even an article of faith. It was just a sad part of history, that more then just Chirstians took part in. Just like more then Christians took part in slavery in America.

HATE
-----

I HEAT Christianity simply because she is cold-blooded. I want her to warm up. She`s an amphibian. A reptile. A snake. Ah, Snake my favorite pet. The hatred of Christianity came from this version in John 3:14-15, "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

If you HATE or HEAT Christians, it`s because you abhor & fear snakes. Or anything that slides & wiggles through holes or coils around you & squeezes you until it breaks your bones. But why are there also those who love snakes for a pet? They don`t mind if it slides through holes or coils around branches.

Anti-semetic like most of Europe was during that time right? Anti-semitism was not a Christian phenomena. It was something most Eurpoeans had in common.

Same with homosexuality, not just a Christian thing. Yes, some Christians took the whole anti-homosexuality to an extreme, however that is hardly true for all Christians. Especially seeing that some of the most active advocates for homosexual rights have also been Christian. That usually happens when one has such a large population of Christians, and they compose a high percentage of various populations.

Hatred is a pretty strong word.

Annoyed. Frustrated. Disenchanted. Bullied. I think these are feelings most non-Christians have. Hatred is rare.

Oh...and HI VICTOR!!!! :hugehug:

Christianity is one of the most strongest love based religions I know of and is why it is always pesecuted and in the state of resistance against hatred!

You`re kidding right?

I attack Christianity because it attacks me.
It`s just self defense.

Christianity goes out of it`s way to infect my government, my kids schools, my personal sexuality, my lifestyle, my world view, my morality, my friends, my family, my neighborhood.......

I could go on and on and on, suffice to say Christianity gets what it gives and then whines about getting it in return.

Christianity does no such thing. Christians on the other hand, and only some Christians, may do such. However, many other Christians would stand right next to you and fight for the same causes that you do.

Ahh ... so we have the "No True Christian" argument.

It`s not my fault y`all can`t keep a consistent message across the board.

I stand by my statement.

No such argument. It's more like Christianity is an extremely diverse religion with many different ideas. To make a sweeping generalization like you did, simply is ignoring the fact that Christianity is not just defined by one idea or position, but is composed of many different ideas.

That is where there isn't a consistent message across the board as there simply is no single Christianity.

That is many Christians would have no problem fighting for the same ideas that you have. And why in fact, many have. That is also why there is so much debate between Christians, as there is not a single Christianity that they all subscribe to.

Interesting. Is it ok for me to hate non-Christians then b/c they infect my government with their secular views, my kids school, my lifestyle, my world view, my friends, my family, my neighborhood.....

You do know Christianity is not the only view that effects other people. If you vote for an issue in the society we BOTH live in, then you are "infecting" my world too with your hatred, worldly ways, etc.

Just to make the record clear, I don't hate you or any non-Christian, despite how hard they try to mold the world I and my family live in to their world view. I was merely pointing out how this could go both ways, but is not a good reason to HATE others.

yes...it's happening.

or really...almost 80% of the US pop is christian
what is so meek and humble when one votes against some ones else's inalienable right?

maybe you don't but why are you trying to control other people to follow your dogmatic agenda? don't you trust god?
maybe you don't....just saying

and you wonder why linwood would say such a thing?

I see it simply because they are intolerant of other ideas. I am Christian. I fully support homosexual rights and am active with working to help homosexuals. I fully support evolution, and would not want to see "Christian" ideas being forced into the schools. I don't want Christianity to be forced into the government, or any other aspect of life. And I am hardly the only Christian with such an idea.

More so, the things that linwood is using to support hatred of an entire group (which is funny in the first place, and simply only shows intolerance) can be said for any other group as well. Why? Because those ideas are not just Christian ideas (and it is very telling that they are not even supported by all Christians, and in fact, are supported by less and less Christians).

And the idea that one attacks another because it attacks them is ridiculous. It would be like me attacking atheism because a few atheists attacked me. Or attacking homosexuality because a homosexual attacked me. To demonize an entire group because of a few members is ridiculous and would not work with any other idea.

linwood is simply not tolerating intolerance :)
almost 80% of americans call them selves christian
basically christianity has no identity...it is entirely subjected to peoples world view...and that doesn't help it's original cause as far as i am concerned.
