Christianity is also many faceted

Agree.

and ever evolving, and in the process becoming more objective.

Categorically disagree. Mainstream Christian denominations are monolithic. There is little attempt at ecumenism (the Patriarch of Moscow won't even meet with the Pope). All denominations are steadfast that their beliefs are the the only correct ones.

More so, Christianity does not claim to have all of the answers.

Mostly disagree, except where medicine is concerned. The RCC came into the last decade of the 20th century kicking and screaming. It was only as recently as Pope JP2 saying there was nothing wrong with exploring the nature of the universe back to the time of the Big Bang, but before that is God's realm.

There are some Christians and some Christian denominations that may claim to have all the answers, but not all of the religion claims that.

Looking around produces sufficient evidence to debunk that influence hypothesis.

Bad argument, try again.
How so? We have violence, hatred, abuse, etc all around.

And yet you say that looking at these things debunks saying evil has influence.

My, my, you must live on the otherside of the rainbow, huh?

I live in reality, thank you very much for the insult though.

Good. Cause if the entire religion claimed to have all the answers, it would be in competition with me --- since I have all the answers. I also have all the good looks.

To say that religions have absolutely no influence over how a person acts is to say that ideas have absolutely no influence over how a person acts.
So are you saying we should have no ideas? At least were starting to put some focus inside.

God may not influence you, but religion might. It may not be in a positive way, but it can still influence you. In fact, religion is what influenced you to come to the RF in the first place. (I personally believe that God influences people but I certainly don't expect atheists to believe that or even take that argument seriously :) ):)

I decided to come here because I like arguing. I argue on a political forum for the same reason I argue here. I learn. I like to know.

I love information, I like accumulating it from different sources.

So no, religion didn't influence me to come here, the pursuit of knowledge did.

Yes. That is what I was saying. :)

The pursuit of knowledge, of course, same for me. But that would be about anything I would read about or study, so the only thing that would influence any of us would be the pursuit of knowledge. When I took Physical Anthropology, it was the pursuit of knowledge of a certain science. I just hope I am making sense. :)

I do not do so because of supernatural influences, rather the influences of human thoughts on other humans.

And what, as an absolute minimum, do you imagine gods, angels and demons are?
I'm sorry, but it's highly likely that God and/or Satan have influenced you at some point even if they didn't exert any sort of supernatural control over you.

And that's my answer to the OP. One of the big reasons that Christianity is attacked is that some people on both sides of the fence think incredibly literally ;)

Again with the lack of evidence. How often do I have to cover this. If you wish to make a claim BACK IT UP.

Oh dear. You either badly misunderstood me or you don't think people believe in deities

Incidentally, I couldn't ask for better confirmation of my response to the OP.
