Hillary says FBI, Russians, and misogyny cost her the Presidency

BSM1

What? Me worry?
Which is why I personally wanted Kaine, not Hillary, to be on top. He's unexciting, not at all photogenic, a boring speaker, which is why I liked his style. Ya, I know that doesn't make sense, but what I saw in him was someone who I believe was and is authentic, fair, and compassionate towards others.

Fortunately you've never had him as the governor of your state. The guy is a moron.

Heh.
Try being a gay guy touting responsible procreation. Sexism and homophobia both.
;)

Uh...pass. But try me next year.

What moronic thing has Kaine said or done?

Actually her making a sour-grapes statement like this is a better indication as to why she is not the Prez.

IMHO, I think that her just not being that likeable a candidate played a big part in her loss.

The media played a big part in her loss harping on a non-scandal, email, while ignoring her opponents verbal spewing. Look at the word clouds:

What Americans said they'd heard about the candidates may hold the key to Donald Trump's big upset

Sam Wang (@SamWangPhD) | Twitter for more detail.

The media ganged up on her and Comey, I think a Russian spy or bribed by them, worked to derail her campaign.

And, remember, she WON the popular vote which if we had a sane constitution would have meant we would have had her as President now. But the right wing likes the current system because it helps them win even when they don't get a majority vote.

Fun fact: anytime a president is elected via the EC but lost the popular vote, it has been a Republican!

I think that the single biggest reason Trump "won" was the media giving him a free pass so often. He knew how to manipulate the media and he did.
So instead of digging into his Russian connections and shady financial dealings they focused on the investigations into Hillary's public service record. Even after the investigations were complete it remained news, and Trumps lies were blown off as inconsequential.

someone who can actually be competitive in the current political climate while having integrity and honesty.

Good luck in finding that person. People with honesty and integrity don't (sadly) seem to last long in the current political climate.

I liked Bernie, agreed with his message, but was afraid he would be branded as a socialist/communist by Trump and his ilk. I remember when Dukarkus, a liberal, ran for president and the other side flooded the ads with himself and 'Willy Horton', it killed him.

I remember that. Do you recall the Dukakus television add featuring him in the army tank?

Exactly.
I liked Bernie's vision for the USA. Not everything, but more than any other candidate.
By a lot!
But I didn't think he had a snowballs chance of getting elected, much less implementing any of it. That's why he never got further, politically, than Vermont. His vision just didn't have national appeal.
Tom

My impression of Bernie was, whether you like his positions on things or not, he actually did believe in the things he was advocating. Hillary and Trump.....not so much.

Yes, that did not help his image either. I also remember that when he was governor he refused to allow the National Guard to be sent to some South American country as the president ordered, not sure which president.

But she won the popular vote. She was liked by more voters than liked Trump.

Yeah, Losing the EC but winning the popular vote would be a hard pill to swallow. I would rather lose by a landslide.

I was pretty young then ,but I remember him poking his head up out of the tank in the commercial. Reminded me of a game of "whack a mole". Certainly didn't have the desired effect for him.

It is virtually impossible for him to be worse than Snyder here in Michigan-- just ask the people of Flint.
