You hold Vaisnav purana true, I don't. I hold Veda and agama as true, you don't. We are from different schools and philosophy, and Hinduism is a huge cloud of different schools and philosophies.

Just as MY opinions, SHIVAFAN's opinion, MAYA's opinion or whoever other specific Hindu opinion is NOT the general and universal standard of Hinduism.

Instead of preaching horrible racial discrimination using the teaching you hold true, please keep in mind that they are only true to yourself and that others come from different schools and philosophies.

Purana is a scripture, but not "THE" unique real truth that drive Hinduism.

Why are you calling me sister after calling me and a big part of people here "mlecchas" ? Please, don't associate me with the intolerant kind you are, I prefer to be the sister of my fellows unclean people here and the sister of open and tolerant Hindus here. Thank you.

Now answer my question: what is the difference between the western Hindu and the Indian Hindu after death, when reaching the feets of God ?

That's an amazing response! not only for HlK, but for all of us to remember (and we need to often). lol

We each have a different opinion and those opinions should be respected, even if we don't necessarily agree with them.

At the end of the day and at the very most anybody can ever do is to 'agree to disagree' even if they can't agree to do that.

Some of the replies in this thread have been quite heated and passionate and as a European convert, I cannot even begin to go into those places Indian women born outside India journey to...

We are all sisters, no matter whether we are Vaishnavas or Shaivas like us and that much I do know.

I think Indian Hindus need a identity and a Hindu identity is what is typically a Indian Idea and is Indian Philosophy which is a gift to the world, the same way the European Ideal is the basis of the Australian identity.

This is not correct. We do not need any other identity than being Hindus. But the divide and rule policy practiced by those in power is extremely harmful to Hindus as well as India. There are power centers and their sycophants, whose only purpose is to gobble public money and boss over general public.

We have the Gandhis in Delhi, Pawar in Maharashtra, Karunakaran and Jayalalitha in Tamilnadu, Patnaik in Odisha, Mamta in Bengal, Mayavati, Ajit Singh and Mulayam Singh in Uttar Pradesh, Laloo Prasad and Ram Bilas in Bihar, and Abdullahs in Kashmir. The have murderers and rapists in their ranks.

You need a Sankara for that or perhaps a Shivananda. At the moment, I would go for Swami Chidananda of Parmartha Niketan, Rishikesh. Kauai's Hindu Monastery is excellent.

Well that is just my opinion, and i think for "Indian Hindus", a marker and a strong individual identity is needed. I think this will bring more confidence in being Indian and a Hindu at the same time, specially outside of India, and a more confident and patriotic outlook inside of India, and for "Non Indian Hindus" the same applies, being a American/Australian ect Hindu should bring confidence in the national and personal level, which could make the Hinduness (Hinduism) more globally united while still keeping to a individual identity of every single person.

But my ideas are just my ideas, there could be some leaders out there who can put this into action globally, i just cant imagine being a e.g; German Hindu and being forced into being just Hindu while removing the German identity.

Hope i haven't misunderstood what you meant.
