  • it's forbidden by God
  • It's unnatural
  • Sodomy is unhealthy
  • It doesn't produce children
  • It doesn't give children their rights
  • Open homosexuals are oc not following the religion and are therefore not morally upright
  • It leads into the degradation of morals in society in general
I had a really cool dismissal of all this but I deleted it as it was uncivil

  • it's forbidden by God
Whose God? Why would the opinion of one's God matter to others who do not share the same beliefs?
  • It's unnatural
What is natural?
  • Sodomy is unhealthy
Any intercourse practiced irresponsibly can lead to negative consequences.
  • It doesn't produce children
Why does that matter?
  • It doesn't give children their rights
What does that even mean?
  • Open homosexuals are oc not following the religion and are therefore not morally upright
What if they are not associated with any religion that forbids homosexuality? Why should it matter?
  • It leads into the degradation of morals in society in general
From typical fallacies like cause/correlation, slippery slope, etc. It's also blaming a smaller more vulnerable group for the overall ills of a society, while not addressing broader issues. Maybe from not wanting to take responsibility for one's own actions or behavior.

  • it's forbidden by God - Whose god? Until you can prove that this god being of yours exists and exactly what this god forbids, then this is a ridiculous reason to discriminate against people.
  • It's unnatural - False! Homosexuality occurs throughout most animal species... it is 100% natural.
  • Sodomy is unhealthy - no more so for homosexuals than heterosexuals, and they are FAR more heterosexuals engaging in the activity,
  • It doesn't produce children - So what? Neither does masturbation of intercourse at a time when a woman isn't fertile. It doesn't produce children when infertile people have sex or when women who are beyond childbearing age have sex. Why are you obsessed with people making babies every time they have sexual relations?
  • It doesn't give children their rights - ?????????????????????????????????
  • Open homosexuals are oc not following the religion and are therefore not morally upright - Again, WHOSE religion, and until you can prove that any given religion is actually TRUE, why should anyone care?
  • It leads into the degradation of morals in society in general - False. Actually, it's religions like yours that degrade the morals in society, because it give you an excuse to abuse and discriminate against people for simply being who they are.

Children have a right to a mother and a father.

They aren't morally upright. That matters regardless of their religion. The society needs moral members.

I'm not writing a book here. The topic is homosexuality.
