What about those who were baptized into another faith o were baptized into Christianity but now consider themselves Pagan or Atheist or whatever? What about those who call themselves Christian but preach more about Paul and seem to care more about following the teachings of Paul than the teachings of Christ(most extremist Christians from what I can tell)?Are they still Christian or aould a better term for them be Paulian or Paulism?

That is its literal meaning,but you can call them what you wish, i myself was baptised but i do not call myself a christian.
Christianity like all religions has its good and its bad,for many the rules are too hard for them to follow it.

Someone tells you that they're Christian, and you say, in effect, "That's what you think. I'll be the judge of that. In fact, now that I think of it, namguy, you're not a Real Christian. You may think you are, and call yourself one, but secretly you're a sinner who has probably blasphemed the holy spirit without even realizing it. For example, all the people here at RF with the word "Christian" in their religion field--not necessarily Christians. In fact, most of them aren't, according to you. In fact, there's no way for me to tell whether you are a Christian. In fact, the word "Christian" is completely useless, and we might as well stop using it, or just say, "Christian, so-called" every time we call someone a Christian, right?

Correct... There's no way of telling a Christian from anyone else. A Christian, and once again I must stress 'true Christian' acts and does what 'true Christians' do. This varies from A to Z. btw, I want to point out what it was that infuriated namguy so much. I did to him just exactly what he does to every other Christian, including all of you, RF Christians, every day. Isn't the message of Christ(whom Christians say they follow) to love your neighbor and judge not lest ye be judged? It was Jesus himself who said things like "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "Remove the plank in your own eye before worrying about the splinter in someone else's." If a Christian follows Christ and you consider yourself Christian(not only that but a Christian who has sinned) then you have no business throwing stones in the form of insults at other people regardless of what beliefs they hold. Your attitude doesn't seem very Christ-like. Do you honestly think Jesus would condone such a response as yours?

Others have brought up the issue of Christian churches who condone homosexuality and perform same-sex marriages (or blessings of same-sex unions, in places where same-sex marriage isn't legal). What do you think of this? Do you think they're within their rights to do this?

There are so many diffrent doctrines and sects in christianity that if a certian church feels it is ok to bless these marriges, that is their choice. I see nothing wrong with it, as long as they are holding true to their personal convictions, not changing them to save face. "above all else, to thine own self be true" Personaly, I cant condemn them for what I belive to be their faults, but on the same hand, I would be unable to condone their actions inside of my doctrine.

So you're okay with civil marriage for same-sex couples?

Yes. Even if I belive it to be a sin, like I said elsewhere, I swear, drink, smoke, all the things that those of us in the military are so proud of, so it is not my place to judge. It is the same as how I could never hold a leadership position in my own doctrine beacuse of my short comings. I wouldnt let myself.
