My own religion
I agree it can be a severe test for a homosexual wanting to be a Baha’i.
Yeah, and some other religions don't consider it a test. Now include that for all of humanity and reconcile that.

I think the answer lay in that one follow God or one follow the body and lust. But can't follow both.Try believing God loves homosexuals and don't consider them wrong.
It is supposed to be a hard test
I think the answer lay in that one follow God or one follow the body and lust. But can't follow both.
As I replied in the other answer.Or none at all.
Can you elaborate on that a bit, its a unfamiliar thought for me.But the body and lust is God to me, if God exists.
As I replied in the other answer.
The test is:follow God or follow body and lust. Can't do both.
Yes it is clear that we see this differentlyHere we disagree. Can we agree on that?
Can you elaborate on that a bit, its a unfamiliar thought for me.
Because of your behaviour towards active homosexuals in your community. That is where it ends.
The position on how homosexuals are to be treated is very clear.
To regard homosexuals with prejudice and disdain would be entirely against the spirit of Bahá'í Teachings. The doors are open for all of humanity to enter the Cause of God, irrespective of their present circumstances; this invitation applies to homosexuals as well as to any others who are engaged in practices contrary to the Bahá'í Teachings.
To regard a person who has a homosexual orientation with prejudice or disdain is entirely against the spirit of the Faith. And where occasion demands, it would be appropriate to speak out or act against unjust or oppressive measures directed towards homosexuals. (House of Justice)
Try believing God loves homosexuals and don't consider them wrong.
Yeah, but I can't be a full member and an active homosexual.
Of course God loves homosexuals. God loves all humanity. Loving someone doesn’t mean you have to agree with everything.
When I first joined I didn’t believe in God. But after a couple of years when I finally really did believe I asked to join again. Lol! But they said my initial joining was like a seed being planted so it didn’t matter.
Different religious texts use various texts. The actual word homosexuality was first used not universally in 1868 so usually in scripture you will find the ‘act’ described but not the word homosexuality.
150 years ago, the word ‘homosexual’ was coined in a secret correspondence
Baha’u’llah described it in His Most Holy Book thus.
“We shrink, for very shame, from treating of the subject of boys. Fear ye the Merciful, O peoples of the world! Commit not that which is forbidden you in Our Holy Tablet, and be not of those who rove distractedly in the wilderness of their desires.”
The Kitab-i-Aqdas
Bahá’u’lláh
Much of humanity’s slow progress i believe has been due to not following the divine laws. Had we done so our energies would have been directed towards improving the quality of life instead of conquering others and fighting wars.
Correct, but we still differ on homosexuals and humanity. I believe God agrees with homoseuals. And you can believe as you like as you, but that changes when you are interacting with other humans.
I welcome all in my home. All are people like myself. A homosexual is an equal fellow human being. That is my belief.
