How can you literally believe...

I agree that I copy paste to much, but as I've said, I'm not fully fledged (or plain out smart enough) to put my own spin on what I've read and listened to in the past. But I DO have alot memorized and HAVE done things in my own words in the past many times, but when I'm bombarded by multiple intelligent and bet articulate people, my only real option, with my insufficient intelligence, is to copy paste information. But nevertheless, it does not mean that what I paste is invalid and or incorrect. I truly am enjoying all of this, and am learning so much. So I wanted to say thanks to you and everyone else. Let me work on something in my own words, and I'll get back to you. As a Soldier does NOT run from battle. :)

All you Christians plagiarized My words that I had My servants write and speak for Me. You never had any authority to use the Bible for your selfish purposes.

Excuse me, what? You think your God or something? Your just another mortal who was born, raised, and will die, like me and everyone else here. Stop acting special.

Who is "My"?
You are the worst of the worst prophets. You are not God. But you pretend to be.

My own Words:

I can say, without the influence of other arguments, from Catholics and Protestants alike, that I believe God exists. Why? Because in the end, we all need something we can put our hope in, and that something should be reliable and trustworthy (and the 20 arguments should be more than enough to convince anyone).

I personally don't find any other religions sufficient and or appealing. Why do I not reject the Resurrection, when there seem to be so many good points made against it? Because I have a hope, that I will live forever with Christ, and have others (from this thread hopefully) to live with me in eternity there. And I know, there are just as many people who can make a solid case for what I believe, as there are people against it.

There is a tension, one that I've never felt before. My pride has told me that I could never be wrong, corrected or refuted. I was on a winning spree, defeating opponent after opponent and thought it would continued here.

I have always been selfish in this area, using my faith as a means to appear to be more intelligent than I actually am, and never actually worked on myself in a way that would be pleasing to God, or His children. I was not prepared for this barrage of questions, nor the astounding amount of intelligent people I would meet on this thread.

Take this as a confession if you will. This is not a resignation, nor a concession of my beliefs but a realization that I needed to help me over come my pride and prejudice against non-believers. And so, I say thank you to all of you, for being who you are, in your own special way. I will make no argument in this post, nor will I try to convince you of what I believe, but commend you on your efforts. I only ask, that as I have taken your points to heart, that you do the same with mine.

These arguments may not come from me specifically, but it only matters that they come from my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. That is all that matters, is that there are some people out there, who are more articulate than me in explaining and defending my faith. I hope to be one of them someday. May God bless you all, regardless of what you do or don't believe. :) <3

I know right? What's wrong with this guy? Lol.

There's nothing wrong with Me, the Lord and Savior of the one typing this post who will be killed soon. It's obvious you haven't met Me yet but you will when you wake up in your new bodies on the New Earth because I will be your teacher of the new language to identify all the new visible images you will experience with your created senses.

Zephaniah 3:
8: "Therefore wait for me," says the LORD, "for the day when I arise as a witness. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all the heat of my anger; for in the fire of my jealous wrath all the earth shall be consumed.
9: "Yea, at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call on the name of the LORD and serve him with one accord.

Oh boy...Jesus warned against people like you, who would claim that they were "The One" lol. If your God, then what am I thinking right now?

God doesn't work that way in each mind of men. Can you imagine if My servant and I knew all your wicked thoughts? We know who you are because of what you don't understand. Those who listen to My voice and obey ALL of My commandments can receive 100 % of the Truth.

My thoughts are pure and called Christ. These thoughts are without the thoughts called Satan and the Beast that have deceived all My people.

Man, people can sure claim alot, but fail to prove even more. This is a drastic claim in and of itself. How will you go about validating it? And why are you even here? I assume as an apparent deity, you have no have no real reason to, nor nothing to gain by interacting and or speaking to us in this manner.

How can you believe things like a man coming back from the dead, bringing a corpse back to life, walking on water, instantly healing the sick and disabled, changing the weather, ascending to heaven (did he float up into the air or what?), etc. literally happened, as historical events?

Seriously. This perplexes me. If someone was literally doing that stuff, it would be the biggest thing in the history of the world. Corpses coming back to life and walking around! But the only writings about are mythological writings from Christians, decades later at best. No one else noticed? Everyone just forgot? That's just irrational. If you make the claims that those things literally happened, I would expect some rather amazing evidence. But, we have nothing. What's going on here?

Now, if you take these things as metaphor or otherwise non-literally, that's fine, but this thread isn't directed towards that crowd.

omnipotence.

How do you explain the origin of the universe?

I came to the conclusion a few years back that it's a psychological issue; one that's based upon an individual's egotistical approach to themselves, their families and ancestors.

Sounds mean, and I usually think that psychoanalysis of people I've met and haven't met is a kind of ***** act in most contexts, but this is a religious forum that should accommodate such a thing. And I think I remember see an actual psychological study years back that indicated such a thing.

Something along the lines of a self talk that sounds like: "my grandfather was a great man - how dare anyone call his beliefs false!"

Sounds like phyco babble
