The phrase you are referring to "In God We Trust" was not added until long after the founding of America. And yes, the Founding Fathers did write alot about God, they even said "all are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights." But Christianity does not have a monopoly on the term "God." You will even find the terms Almighty, Supreme Being, and other terms that are generally used to describe God. However, that does not mean they where Christian. For the most part, they were Deist.

REPUBLICANS don't care about adding another $2 trillion to the deficit or Bush? It's time people realize he is not the spokesperson for the Republican party!

Of course he isn't. That is because so many Republicans view Reagan as the messiah. (Even though he didn't go to the Boyscout Jambari either.) Never mind that Reagan tried to cover up the Watergate scandal, or had a position similar to what Obama has even though Obama's positions are criticized, but he seems to be the poster child of the Republicans.

But really, I can see the Republicans destroying America and a new civil war breaking out under a Republican president and controlled congress because they are the party that is more likely to give another "let them eat cake" statement. Although they pretty much already have, I can see it getting much worse when they are in control again.

The middle class is being hoodwinked and bamboozled by the Republican Party. I will explain. Republicans are in favor of giving tax cuts for the richest 2% of Americans, and are not really concerned about how we are going to pay for it. When it comes down to things; like unemployment insurance for Americans who have lost their jobs, they claim we are spending too much money. Now just think about what I've just said. On the surface one would think the 98% of Americans would vote for the Democrats, but this is not the case; why; Partly because of party loyalty, the only other reason could be because these people are part of the wealthy who are receiving these nice big tax breaks. The problem is only 2% of Americans are wealthy, so maybe there's another reason that I've not listed; are these people just stupid? Why would you vote against your own self interest is the question. There is also a racial element at play here as well. Republicans are masters at tapping into racial attitudes that exist in this country; they have to be. Because if they didn't the American people will suddenly realize that we all are getting screwed. But if they can create division, we will be so busy fighting each other because of rhetoric, that we will never come together and really become "we the people."

People have always taken help from others. Even other primates help eachother out. And today it's hard for alot of people to make it without help. And even with help somethings are still very expensive, like baby formula and diapers.
I also think it's sad how the people who do work and need some help can't get the help they need and people who refuse to work and don't even have a GED get more help and money than what they need.

:clapThat is a very good point. So many people complain about the "lazy" workers who just aren't working hard enough. Why should those who make poor decisions with the money of their multimillion dollar business and those who set up the system to fail get money before those who do real work?

Becoming a social animal was a survival strategy that eventually allowed us to trade brawn for brains. It's highly unlikely you would get an animal with our kind of intelligence that was not a social animal.
