We are unique, just as giraffes are unique. So what?

That's very disappointing, I'd welcome anyone irrespective of their beliefs....Seriously. I wouldn't even let you into my home.
But trueThat's an interesting perspective.
Which dog is male and which is female
But true

We are unique, just as giraffes are unique. So what?
We just have to learn and respect our place in the world...reports like these are concerning...I think it's okay to place value on our vast differences with the rest of the animals.
...What harm could come of it? In fact, it could be used for good, couldn't it?
We just have to learn and respect our place in the world...reports like these are concerning...
Humanity has wiped out 60% of animals since 1970, major report finds
That's true. I have always been an advocate for increasing plant and animal life.
Anyone who downgrades the uniqueness of human life, is no friend of mine.
I'm not completely convinced we will survive another 10,000 years, let alone another 100 million years.Humans haven't died out yet. We could (If we don't destroy the planet) out live dinosaurs.
well THAT went astray.........Anyone take the time to watch different people try to complete the MCAT trying to get into medical school or trying to get through a class on quantum mechanics? There are clear differences in humans. What does that mean? Some are superior or just better at other things. I struggled through my quantum mechanics class - thus never went into a physics career. I can appreciate being the primates effort, but then again I am a primate. I certainty cannot climb trees like some of my primate brothers and sisters. Oh well, not the best at climbing trees and did terrible in my quantum mechanics class. I guess at the bottom of the primate family. Learning how to appreciate the what is special in all living things is something I respect, At least I can do that.
nay......the lesser forms that can tolerate the polluted planet will evolveHumans haven't died out yet. We could (If we don't destroy the planet) out live dinosaurs.
And what? You think I care that you prefer a cow to me? You think this hurts me in some way? Go for it. Go love your cow. You do you, man.Yes you're right, to me a cow is better than you, it gives us milk and hence we can make
cheese, yogurt and many other products such as Nada and Nadec milk products.
Like I said... it took WORK. Early people were probably a lot less likely to cooperate, and instead lived together in relatively small groups. These groups wouldn't have necessarily thought it was worth it to sit down and develop complex communication methods - when they could get by with what they had. But generation after generation, things were added, and as larger groups got together it necessitated people creating these mass-communication methods - and because there were so many to do the main work of surviving in such large groups, it left time for the thinkers to sit down and do the more abstract work like craft language.Did humans read and write before 20000 years ago?
Homo sapiens or the wise man existed 200,000 years ago, it means humans have
spent more than 195,000 years just to start learning how to write and read.
Why do you think that humans just started to think about writing before only 5000 years ago,
why not before 20000 years, why not before 30,000 years or 50,000 years.
You don't know that there was a maker. I don't know that there wasn't. But with what we are presented as the facts and reality of our existence, there being a "maker" seems far less likely to me. So I choose not to believe. There are things that could change my mind - but those things don't currently happen or exist. And I'm extremely confident that they never will.I appreciate the maker and not the product.

Turn the dogs around.

How do you think it worked? Magic? You think God poofed knowledge of reading/writing into our minds 5,000 years ago? Is that what you're getting at? If so... then why not just come out and say it?

Assuming, for the sake of discussion, that humans are unique...what do you believe to be the cause of our uniqueness?Anyone who downgrades the uniqueness of human life, is no friend of mine.
