I have not ignored the epigenetics at all. But epigenetics has not change how we classify animals including humans. The decreased methylation of human DNA does increase the expression rate of promoter gene sequences as compared to chimpanzees. This does increase expression of genes involved. But the epigenetic effects are found in animals just with variations of expression. This does not mean humans are not biologically animals. If you have a study that clearly supports the separation of humans from the animal kingdom then show me the evidence. My searches so far do show the effect of epigenetics on evolution but have not supported the assertion that humans should separate from primates.
This is the ridiculous assertion that comes with your line of thinking. "These results derived from the field of epigenetics dramatically illustrate the profound genetic differences that exist between humans and apes. Once again, cutting-edge science fits closely with the biblical paradigm that God created all animals “after their kind” (
Genesis 1:21) and humans uniquely in the “image of God” (
Genesis 1:27)."Epigenetics Proves Humans and Chimps Are Different BY
JEFFREY P. TOMKINS, PH.D. * | FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2012 from the institute for creation research. Here is the ongoing attempt to make humans different than animals. Of course the next step is obvious. God gave us less methylation because god has less methylation in gods dna thus humans are most like god.
