I have a question for all members

I was just wondering how affronted he must have felt about the 'Everything But the Kitchen Sink' area of the forum... Nothing to do with religion, DELETE IMMEDIATELY!

Goodness forbid he ever realize there is such a thing as an Eros Room. Oh Noes! I done let the cat out of the bag! :p

It amazes me that with an enormous DIR section, anyone might consider this forum to be for the purposes of 'bashing' people of faith.

This is why I can't adhere t overly exclusive religions. I am not the type of person to say "your religion is wrong" and expect myself to sound intelligent. I just can't do that without feeling like a fool.
As to how someone can even consider this forum as an exclusive breeding ground for one's own religion is very offensive to the rest of the community. We are here to express ourselves no matter who we are or what our religion is.

I don't think he'll be gone forever. He threatened that once already, and then came back. So even if it's to look in on what people have said since he 'left', he'll be back.

Just for laughs. Hopefully we can take this in good spirited humor :D

As a topic, religion isn't constrained to purporting the magical or supernatural. There are at least several religions I can think of that have nothing to do with a second plane of existence. There is more public bashing of Christian beliefs in recent years, as you suspect, and this is unfortunate. I sincerely wish that those attending this forum wouldn't criticize unless they have something of at least equal or greater worth to suggest, but this isn't likely to happen any time soon. Even I might occasionally forget this and need a reminder.

Cooler than most of you

Please, inform me of the worth of Christianity that I might match it or beat it.

What? Me worry?
In my opinion;
When I was in the military, they had rules. These were called, “General articles.”
One of these articles read, “This article, covers all articles not in these articles.”
It somewhat reminds me of rule 8 on this forum.

Ah, yes...General Article 134. I always loved that one. Good Times....

BTW there are cases where people have survived when their parachutes have failed. So, yes, we have to assume that if you jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet you will die.

Or he could be an Xian. "One ring to bind them all" probably won't work for him.

I ask:

Where is the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like wind in the meadow. The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow. How did it come to this?

Actually, that brings more to mind the statement at the end of our list of rules:

These rules cover most common situations, but they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

That's a good theory, but does it hold true?
Here is an example of what I am asking:
If I know a Bible statment is true, and can be proven as true, My having to say, "In my opinion," in order to not be outside rule 8, puts what I can prove a fact, as nothing more than an opinion...thus it is no longer a fact.

That would be like saying, "If you jump out of an airplane at 10,000 feet without a chute, in my opinion, you will die. That is like saying you may not die.
Why would a statment have to be labeled an opinion, if it can be proven as true?

I totally agree with you....a double standard
