I have a question for all members

One would think.

I'd say that's a pretty clear sign of mental health. :D

You respond like a young man who is still in school. I did read the rules. Since you also post, don’t the rule about insulting members apply to you? Should you not give yourself a warning for that?

Was I talking to you?

There's the rub though. Even if he thought to censure himself, he would still be at the mercy of what other staff members thought. Any decision to sanction the poster would be a committee decision, not the whim of one person.

That's not debate, my friend. Respond to their questions. Directly.

Why not? If it is fact it should be easy. Your play.

I don't respond to all people. There are some if their pants were on fire, and you told them, they would say, "No there not." Some people never grow into adult hood.

My friend, see what you see, and don't see what you don't see.

In other words, thus far, you've proven nothing.

I'm a storyteller, and I'm in favor of people finding their own meanings in stories. What you have to realize is the key of that concept: their own. What you've presented are pieces of stories that are likely abridged versions of old Canaanite/Judaic campfire tales, and have apparently done nothing more than read into them prophecies.

I can likewise read all kinds of prophecies into any old text.

Seek and ye will find, after all.

Strange analogy, since there are clear indications of one's pants being on fire, such as feelings of burning on one's butt, smells of smoke and a lack of the ability to breath, and the inability to walk due to the scorching pain.

On the other hand, all I see in the pieces you've presented are pieces of old stories, and in one case, part of a genealogy.

If you truly want to debate, you're supposed to actually defend your position from criticism. What that means is, make me see the prophecies... if you can.

I don't respond to all people.

The person you were responding to is one of the most polite and considerate people in here. Or are those the kind of people you don't respond to?

There are some if their pants were on fire, and you told them, they would say, "No there not."

Ah, I see: you don't respond to people who effectively point out the holes in your arguments. Got it. ;)

Some people never grow into adult hood.

As you've shown.

I don'e play little kid games.

Sure you do, you just "don'e" see it.

I’m 77. I’ve seen a million young people like you. They get into College, and over night they think their smarter than every body else. When they get out of school, life turns them every way but up. They find their little piece of paper should be hanging in the men’s room. They stand behind ten million others with the same piece of paper. The big boys wont hire them because they have no experience, and the dead end jobs don’t want them because they are over qualified. Most go into the service. With their paper they become a Junior officer. Only problem with that, is when they get into a combat situation, their own men shoot them in the butt, so he don’t get them killed. Well what can I say? Welcome to the real world, in your future.

I'm not responsible for what you think you see either.

Maybe try taking a look in the mirror sometime.

Probably want to have a few stiff drinks first though.

On the contrary, you are playing this kid's game:

Funny how that world is long gone. These days, it's easily possible to livable wage working for nobody but myself out of mom's basement.

Also funny how that's got nothing to do with Biblical prophecies.

And for the record, I long ago realized that grades generally are not indicative of intelligence, and I'm not so unwise as to touch those "big boys" with a ten meter pole any more than I'd do dirty work for the mafia. I'm not going to touch the military with a ten kilometer pole, either, since I have nothing but contempt for the American military, and in any case, I should be in Canada sometime next year.

It's times like this I really wish I wasn't a former teacher. The grammar guy in me is closely followed by that spelling guy.
