I thought someone might say that. LOL The owners of this forum space may or may not be pleased that someone thinks this is a spreading place. I personally don't. But, I have been wrong about some things
You are awesome! Thank you. And, welcome to the forums.Oh SavageWind I am new here. What I meant, was that I love your post, the way you put it. So when using the word "spreading" I had in no way the thought of "spreading" like they don't like. I should have used the word "sharing" maybe. So it was a totally positive remark I made, no irony or whatever. I Love you, and totally don't like irony.
Turning the other cheek seems so strange. You create thereby a Cheek-hitter. Better turn your back and thereby save him from hitting you
That's why my preference is this one: Religious Forums
They think it is true via faith. If they realize that there is no way of knowing if what they teach is really the truth then why are they spreading it like seeds?
People say that the Bible can be used to interpret itself but there are plenty of proofs in that respect that it can disprove certain tenets of theirs but they spread those tenets anyway
This is the best! They need not make up meaning because they don't know. Just follow what you know![But I think it means like "this is enough to know and to follow; you will be safe"]

"A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished"
I tell them that what they are teaching from the Bible is not what was written and they say we can't know that.
And, I agree that it is a difficult thing to turn your backs on tradition.
But, most people will stick to what they think they know and, is that a bad thing?
It is whenever they spread it!

Today, I am happy. Thank you.
I put that kind of behavior mostly down to the ego or psychological self. Basically, the more people they convert to their way of thinking -- whether that way be right or wrong -- the better they think about themselves.
Besides, we humans are social animals. We like others to believe as we believe. Although, in the process of getting others to believe like we believe, the truth is too often the last thing we're really concerned with.
But whatever the reasons for it, you see the same behavior in all aspects of our lives. Folks proselytize more than religious beliefs.
Do you mean no belief? I believe what is true in the Bible so you can't rightly say I have "no" belief in it.savagewind,
What you say reveals that you have barely a Nodding Acquaintance, with the Holy Scriptures. There are several reasons that a person has no belie.
That is a lot of bull****. Are you not a Jehovah's Witness? You know nothing of the Bible but what you are told to know.savagewind,
What you say reveals that you have barely a Nodding Acquaintance, with the Holy Scriptures. There are several reasons that a person has no belie in the Bible, and by reading several of your posts I believe zi know the reason, Psalms 10:3,4, Isaiah 26:10,11, Daniel 12:10, Proverbs 28:5. Also, Jesus taught that a person’s heart condition makes them unable to understand, Matthew 13:13-15, Mark 7:21-23, 2Thessalonians 2:7-13. If a person becomes like a child, even though he is young, he can understand, Luke 10:21. A person who remains like a babe will never learn the truth of the Holy Scriptures, Hebrews 5:11-15. By reading and Praying to God for His Holy Spirit, you form a longing for the unadulterated word of the Bible, 1Peter 2:2,3, 1Corinthians 2:10, 2Corinthians 4:1-6.
You are embarrassing yourself. You should regroup, imo.savagewind,
Why are you happy? Someone must have told you something that you believed already and tickled your ears with false teachings, 2Timothy 4:1:4. 1John 5:3. I don’t remember you being happy with TRUTH, John 4:23,24, 2Thessalonians 2:7-13.
A great cause for not believing is because of living according to the flesh and not according to the Spirit, Romans 8:1-17, Galatians 5:16-25.
Psalms 10:3,4, For the wicked one boasts about his selfish desires*+And blesses the greedy one;* He disrespects Jehovah. 4 In his haughtiness, the wicked man makes no investigation; All his thoughts are: “There is no God.”+savagewind,

10 Even if the wicked is shown favor,He will not learn righteousness.+Even in the land of uprightness* he will act wickedly,+And he will not see the majesty of Jehovah.+11 O Jehovah, your hand is raised, but they do not see it.+They will see your zeal for your people and be put to shame.Yes, the fire for your adversaries will consume them.Isaiah 26:10,11
10 Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined.+ And the wicked ones will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand; but those having insight will understand.+Daniel 12:10
5 Evil men cannot understand justice,But those who seek Jehovah can understand everything.+Proverbs 28:5.
13 That is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations; for looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain, nor do they get the sense of it.+ 14 And the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled in their case. It says: ‘You will indeed hear but by no means get the sense of it, and you will indeed look but by no means see.+ 15 For the heart of this people has grown unreceptive, and with their ears they have heard without response, and they have shut their eyes, so that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts and turn back and I heal them.’+Also, Jesus taught that a person’s heart condition makes them unable to understand, Matthew 13:13-15
21 For from inside, out of the heart of men,+ come injurious reasonings, sexual immorality,* thefts, murders, 22 acts of adultery, greed, acts of wickedness, deceit, brazen conduct,* an envious eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, and unreasonableness. 23 All these wicked things come from within and defile a man.”Mark 7:21-23
. 7 True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work,+ but only until the one who is right now acting as a restraint is out of the way. 8 Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth+ and bring to nothing by the manifestation+ of his presence. 9 But the lawless one’s presence is by the operation of Satan+ with every powerful work and lying signs and wonders*+ 10 and every unrighteous deception+ for those who are perishing, as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth in order that they might be saved. 11 That is why God lets a deluding influence mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie,+ 12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness.13 However, we are obligated always to thank God for you, brothers loved by Jehovah,* because from the beginning God selected you+ for salvation by sanctifying you+ with his spirit and by your faith in the truth.2Thessalonians 2:7-13
21 In that very hour he became overjoyed in the holy spirit and said: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have carefully hidden these things from wise and intellectual ones+ and have revealed them to young children. Yes, O Father, because this is the way you approved.+If a person becomes like a child, even though he is young, he can understand, Luke 10:21.
11 We have much to say about him, and it is difficult to explain, because you have become dull in your hearing. 12 For although by now* you should be teachers, you again need someone to teach you from the beginning the elementary things+ of the sacred pronouncements of God, and you have gone back to needing milk, not solid food. 13 For everyone who continues to feed on milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is a young child.+ 14 But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their powers of discernment* trained to distinguish both right and wrong.A person who remains like a babe will never learn the truth of the Holy Scriptures, Hebrews 5:11-15.
2 As newborn infants,+ form a longing for the unadulterated* milk of the word, so that by means of it you may grow to salvation,+ 3 provided you have tasted* that the Lord is kind.By reading and Praying to God for His Holy Spirit, you form a longing for the unadulterated word of the Bible, 1Peter 2:2,3
+ 10 For it is to us God has revealed them+ through his spirit,+ for the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God.+1Corinthians 2:10
Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy that was shown us, we do not give up. 2 But we have renounced the shameful, underhanded things, not walking with cunning or adulterating the word of God;+ but by making the truth manifest, we recommend ourselves to every human conscience in the sight of God.+ 3 If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things*+has blinded the minds of the unbelievers,+ so that the illumination*of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God,+ might not shine through.+ 5 For we are preaching, not about ourselves, but about Jesus Christ as Lord and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God is the one who said: “Let the light shine out of darkness,”+ and he has shone on our hearts to illuminate them+ with the glorious knowledge of God by the face of Christ.2Corinthians 4:1-6.
