My dear lovely Feathers,

I am glad you are starting to feel better regarding the desire to unsheath your claws.
Sometimes I get so annoyed and frustrated with some people I would like to reach through the screen and throttle them! Something I have found that helps is...start to type a reply to the annoying bugger, let it all out, flip them the virtual bird, so to speak. Don't send it yet.:tsk: Walk away from the screen for a bit, come back and read it again, and then.....DELETE IT. You will have the feeling of release from stating what you really feel, but you will still be true to your better impulse by deleting it.

You are a sweet soul, and much beloved by all here. Many huggles right back at you!:)

FBI! *cheers and dances along*

And do you know the lyrics to "Killer Queen"? There's something that's been bugging me about that, and it is so distressing I may just have to start a thread. *pounces off to the 'new thread' option. *

Yes, ducky - that, and the lyrics to any other Queen song your little heart desires can be found here: http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Killer-Queen-lyrics-Queen/93D90739DD81458A482568940005BC5F

She keeps Moet et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
'Let them eat cake' she says
Just like Marie Antoinette
A built-in remedy
For Kruschev and Kennedy
At anytime an invitation
You can't decline

Caviar and cigarettes
Well versed in etiquette
Extraordinarily nice
Chorus

She's a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime

Recommended at the price
Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?

To avoid complications
She never kept the same address
In conversation
She spoke just like a baroness
Met a man from China
Went down to Geisha Minah
Then again incidentally
If you're that way inclined

Perfume came naturally from Paris
For cars she couldn't care less
Fastidious and precise
Chorus

Drop of a hat she's as willing as
Playful as a ***** cat
Then momentarily out of action
Temporarily out of gas
To absolutely drive you wild, wild
She's all out to get you
Chorus

Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?
You wanna try

I had Killer Queen stuck in my head for three days before I had to look up the lyrics, cause I was a little hazy on the second verse and was sick of mumbling my way through it. Upon reading the above lyrics, I thought "that can't be right", and cross checked with about 8 other sites I found with Queen lyrics on them - they were all the same. Still not sure they were right, I then listened to the song repeatedly with my ear to the speaker during the parts I didn't think were right. As far as I know, they are. :p

I'm was glancing through Anime Insider magazine, and they had a preview of an upcoming high-school based manga, in which Freddie (yes, that Freddie) is a reoccuring character. I'm still trying to puzzle out the surrealism, there.

Thanks, oh mighty Bastet!
I'd convinced myself it was "Moaning and chanting in a pretty cabinet".

"Moaning and chanting"?? :biglaugh: I have to go add that to amiright.com if it's not already there...

Well, it looks like you weren't the first to think it was "moaning and chanting"...someone else had already posted those misheard lyrics there! ;)

Oooo... There's a site of misheard lyrics? *makes a note to have that be her next stop*
And I'm not sure if I should be worried or not that there's someone else out there that heard that... I wonder how many misheard Queen lyrics there are. *looks forward to checking out if they have a section for "Bohemian Rhapsody*

I was just there, and the Bohemian Rhapsody section is HUGE. There were a lot for Killer Queen too, it took me a while to find the moaning and chanting one. They also have song parodies and all sorts of fun stuff on there. It's www.amiright.com ;)

I particularly liked " Another one bites the duck" for "Another one bites the dust."

And for "Beelebub has a devil put aside for me", my favorites were
"Beelzebub has a devil for a cyborg - me!"
"Beelzebub has a devil for a sideboard- me!"
"Beelzebub has a devil motorcycle for me!"

It appears as if that's a frequently misheard one...

No, no, wait...

My favorite was, instead of the original lyrics of
"I see a little sillouette-a of a man
Scaramouche, Scaramouche
Will you do the Fandango?"
Hearing it
"I wear stilettos even though I am a man
Scary moose, scary moose
We've got duty-free mangos."
