I pardon my son

Regiomontanus

Really? You don't find it odd that not only was a pardon giving but it was giving a past 10 year pardon on anything ever done or involved in.

Can you name anyone who has never issued a pardon like that besides Biden?

I would fall on a sword and die 100 times over to protect my children.

As to your last question: read some ****ing history.

Its odd that not only did Biden pardon Hunter for the gun charges, he also pardoned him for anything he may have committed or may have been involved in since Jan 1, 2014.
He must know something that others don't.

He knows something you could also know if you'd listen.
Trump and his cronies are going to weaponize the DOJ and will go against Trump's enemies. They said so. With the pardon, Biden brought his son out of the line of fire. No chance for any real or invented allegations.

Biden's pardoning of his son (I'm willing to bet) is a direct response to the announcement that Kash Patel was going to be head of the FBI.

A person who has stated they'd go after people they see as political "enemies": Who would Trump FBI nominee Kash Patel target? He compiled a lengthy list

If there is nothing to worry about or hide, why give a pardon going back to 2014 on any/everything he may have done or was involved in?

If its for protection as you say, what about before 2014? I guess that's fair game?

I find it odd. No one else has too.

Says everyone who supports government surveillance of private citizens.

Possibly? I'm no lawyer.

You find a lot of things "odd" as a way of discussing controversial opinions to keep the plausible deniability that you don't fully support them.

Statute of limitations is probably about a decade for most crimes that are federally prosecuted.

Say they wanted to fabricate a RICO charge against Hunter.

"Some offenses have longer statutes of limitations, such as:
Arson: 10 years
Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO): 10 years
Bank fraud, mail fraud, or wire fraud: 10 years from the date of the crime
Embezzling from a federal institution: 10 years from the date of the crime
Immigration offenses: 10 years from the date of the crime "

If its odd I say its odd. Its neither supporting nor denying. Its questioning.

The DNC didn't know it, or at least tried to keep the facade by acting as if the justice would work.

I can't speak for the DNC, but I always hold the hope the arc of the moral universe bends toward justice, even as history tells us it hasn't more than it has. I do think Biden's pardon of Hunter is attempting to redress the injustice of the prosecution.

If there is nothing else he did or was involved in from Jan 2014 to Dec 2024 there is nothing else to go after.
Trump and his minions went after more than 60 electoral districts without anything to go after. (One bankrupted himself in the process.)

I wonder how many convicts have been imprisoned for just 'lying on a gun application'?
An interesting thing about lying about drug addiction
is that prosecution would be rare because of the
difficulty of proving it. Drug addicts tend to be
secretive about this. Hunter became the rare
case by providing that documentation via a
published memoir.
