I cannot think of any large-scale institution that does not have some sort of exploitation or malfeasance made to be a part of it. I think anyone would be hard-pressed to find a "perfectly benign" organization or agency at anything above the local level (and even then you should still be suspicious of your local enterprises; just because they might be benign: result of knowing everyone in town, doesn't mean they are guaranteed to be).
Porn does not have "A lot of Actual" rape, incest, torture, etc. What it does have as is some instances of rape, incest, torture. The thing is this sort of behavior is endemic to all forms of media. People create films where they actually murder people and then sell them. Does this mean that movie making in general is evil and should be banished?
The answer should be an obvious, "No." The problem isn't movie making in general, but rather the actions of irresponsible (and frankly completely amoral) individuals. The question regarding porn should not be couched in terms of a definite minority, since you can use that same tarred brush to condemn everything on earth. Just like humans are not without vice our institutions are not without vice.
The question that needs to be asked and answered is: Does porn creation and/or watching porn (the legitimate use thereof) as a masturbatory aid or sexual stimulation for consenting individuals do more harm than good? If so, where is this harm?
If you are pointing to the effects of pornography on children, then I don't see how you can blame porn, even with the wide availability through the internet. Alcohol is widely available, and yet it is not the fault of alcohol (which is obviously quite harmful to young children) if children are imbibing it. It is the fault of irresponsible adults that failed to provide the proper supervision and/or moral framework to prevent the problem in the first place.
I don't think it can be argued that sexuality and nudity is intrinsically harmful, and I don't see how anyone can claim that pornography is exploiting either males or females in terms of who derives pleasure. If you actually take the time to listen to what the porn actors say about their own profession, then they will tell you that it is just a job for them. Neither side is particularly enthused about what they are doing. That is Not to say that there is no pleasure involved; they generally know what they are doing.
So then, perhaps, the issue is one of lack of intimacy? I would be very interested in reading studies which purported to show long term detrimental consequences of being a porn actor as a result of lack of association between intimacy and sexuality, but I am not aware of any that do show this currently. And for the sake of argument "personal opinion" on the matter really doesn't cut it. There are plenty of things people feel quite strongly about that turn out to be absurdly false when investigated, and there are plenty of people in this world whose genetic predisposition to produce a low amount of oxytocin and vasopresin (meaning they are biochemically predisposed to not form attachment to their partners as a result of sex), and yet these people are not all rapists (nor even mostly).
