If Christ comes today, how do you know it is really Him?

According to his own word, everyone on earth will witness his second coming. No one will have to wonder if it's him or some false Messiah. He will come in glory, not as a humble baby as in his first coming.

And angels shall fly through the midst of heaven, crying with a loud voice, sounding the trump of God, saying: Prepare ye, prepare ye, O inhabitants of the earth; for the judgment of our God is come. Behold, and lo, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together. Ase you sure? In John 14 Jesus speaks to his disciples and says "3 And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."
Unless I do not count for being an agnostic..:)
Jesus was going to heaven to prepare a place for His disciples.
How could Jesus come back to earth and take His disciples to heaven AFTER His disciples were no longer on earth?

John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

When Jesus said “I will come again” He was not referring to coming back to earth again. Jesus said that His work was finished here and He was no more in the world: John 14:19, John 16:10, John 17:4, John 17:11, John 19:30

John 14:2-3 is Jesus speaking to His disciples. It is not Jesus promising anyone else He will return to earth. When Jesus said “I will come again” He was not talking about His physical body returning to earth, He was referring to His Spirit coming again, which I believe it did, in another person who I believe was the return of the Christ spirit with a new name (Isaiah 62:2, Revelation 2:17, Revelation 3:12)

Jesus said to the disciples “I will come again, and receive you unto myself” Jesus knew He was going to heaven, and He was telling His disciples that He would prepare a place for them in heaven so they could be with Him in heaven -- that where I am, there ye may be also.

Hypothetically speaking, if Jesus returned to earth now, the disciples could not 'receive Jesus' since the disciples are no longer living on earth.

John 14:3 is one of the most misunderstood verses in the New Testament so it is no wonder the Bible commentaries do not agree on what it means.

I don’t think there will be any doubt whatsoever…

Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.

Well, your claim was that not one Christian can produce any verses where Jesus says He is coming back to earth and whatever explanation we can think ourselves, the fact remains that in this verse, Jesus said to his disciples that he will come back. Incidentally, this was not the first time he said that he will return in the lifetime of his disciples. See Mark 13:30, Matt. 10:23, Luke 9:27, so it makes sense that he was once again claiming he will return in the disciples' lifetime.
Also your claim that the return of the Son of Man refers to someone other than Jesus, does not appear correct, because “Son of Man,” is Jesus’s favorite self-designation and is mentioned 102 times in the Gospels.

I don't believe in any god. So I don't believe god is doing anything, she doesn't exist.

That is my position .... There are no god or gods

Holy Carp what a terrible answer .. who cares what your actual beliefs are .. the fact of the matter is you don't have the faintest idea whether or not your belief is true .. whether a he .. she .. or primordial It .. Yet you act and speak as if you do .. telling me what God gonna do .. when the pearly gates I go through ... Tis True..

and of course there are Gods .. .. what are you defining as a God .. such that you can say such a thing does not exist ?

It will be a miraculous coming. Like nothing anyone has ever witnessed. The entire earth will be bathed in light.
Even if that happened, what makes you think that everyone in the world, all 8 billion people, would believe it was the coming of Jesus?
Please bear in mind that only 2.4 billion people in the world are Christians.

If that happened most people in the world who were not Christians would probably believe it was the coming of God.

Who is the Son of man who will come in the clouds of heaven?

If Jesus planned to return, why wouldn't He make it clear that He was going to return?
If Jesus planned to return, why did Jesus say His work was finished here and He was no more in the world?

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

John 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more.

John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

I don't know that all will recognize him as Jesus immediately, or even as God for that matter. Those who aren't waiting and watching for his coming will have or seek some other explanation for the event. But he will also announce himself at his coming:

"And the Lord shall utter his voice, and all the ends of the earth shall hear it;" (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 45:49)

Why do you think I became an agnostic? Because of the contradictions in the Bible.

Christians will tell you that he finished his human life and his preaching, but he will return in his glory to judge people as per Revelation and Matthew.

He said that his atonement (suffering, death and resurrection) was the completion of his "preparations":

"For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent; But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I; Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink—Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men." Well, He said that ,every eye shall see Him, but what about those whose eyes are not open, or are sleep?
Apparently He also said, He comes, in the night, like a thief.
A thief does not only come Suddenly, but also, very quietly, unnoticeable.

That's too bad, because you don't need to believe the Bible is accurate in order to believe in God.
Christians will tell you that he finished his human life and his preaching, but he will return in his glory to judge people as per Revelation and Matthew.
But Jesus never said He would will return in his glory to judge people as per Revelation and Matthew.
The problem is that the verses that Christians believe are about Jesus are not about Jesus, they are about another man with another name who would return in the glory of His Father.

The Bible says Christ (not Jesus) would return with a new name, so we know he would not be called Jesus.

Isaiah 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 3:12-13 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

If the same man Jesus returned to earth, why would He change His name? If Jesus changed His name, how would anyone know it was Jesus?
The new name means that the return of Christ would be another man. It would not be Jesus.

I have been talking to Christians on various forums for about 10 years and that is how I came to know what is in the Bible.
Regarding the return of Christ, Christians completely misinterpret the Bible. I have proven that they are wrong about the return of Christ time and again using their own Bible.

The upshot of all this is that Christians are emotionally attached to the man Jesus and they cannot face the reality that Jesus is never going to return, no matter how many times I prove that using their own Bible.

Christians always have an excuse as to why Jesus has not come yet. I had a good friend who told me in 2012 that Jesus would be back no later than a year from then. I wonder what she is thinking now. Christians always have a reason why Jesus has not come yet. Maybe Jesus got delayed because He got hung up in the clouds.

No, I don't wonder why you are an agnostic. The primary reason for agnostics and atheists is Christianity and the Bible.

He said He comes like a thief.
I am really thinking, there is a reason, He used this parable.

Why out of all parables, likened Himself to a thief?
I am thinking of several reasons. One is, Christ comes actually as a thief to take their property. This property is their "Faith. It is their "belief". The effects of it, is, diminishing belief, faith and understanding among Christians, but it happens gradually.

It is also said, Christ comes in the night, because in the night they are sleeping, which signifies a spiritual sleep, and thus do not realize He has come to take it from them.
Christ does two things:

"Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."

The term "thief" is an allusion to the second part of this verse, bolded.

With all due respect to your beliefs, that quote was not from the Bible so I have no reason to believe that those were words spoken by Jesus.

1) the whole world will see him coming from the clouds down to Earth surrounded by his angels.

2) the people of the earth who are not his is going to most likely think it's an alien invasion and wage war against him. (probably suggestions from the Beast and his Antichrist, he will be in full power and have control over everybody whose names does not have the seal of God)

3) The thing is we who know him will not be here, my belief is he will simultaneously take his up as he is coming down.

4) Zachariah 14 is about The Day of the Lord and verse 12 tells us that people's flesh, tongues and eyeballs will be consumed away while they stand on their feet - that sounds like extremely advanced nuclear weaponry.

So those who are here on Earth will know that is God of the Bible and he's real he exists uh oh....... mountains hide us from him.

I really think, a good movie can be made to show all this. The way you described it, It will be a very nice science fiction film.
