This makes me think that you may not be presenting your position to an non-agreeing audience, well enough. if you make this statement, then I really don't know what your position entirely is. Hence my reluctance to argue with you

The universe has no position. It just is. Not here to choose sides since there is some truth in just about everything.

Ironically you are one of the sanest people on the thread.

...we see a snake instead.

You should know all about snakes, being a snake-oil seller, a Chopra-clone on steroids.

Your new-age god "The Absolute" is a complete fiction, something you desperately cling to in order to prop up your bizarre DIY religion. And because "The Absolute" is a shallow fabrication you continually have to move the goalposts, one minute it's just the universe, the next minute it is Brahman or pantheism, the next it is "Cosmic Consciousness". It is all BS wrapped in more BS, a Russian doll of cow-manure.

So go and look for your Precious. You probably lost it down the rabbit hole, hidden in among the rest of your PPNs.

You really need to get out more and stop waffling on about "non-duality", which you wouldn't recognise if it came up and bit you on the bottom. You are all mouth and trousers, all talk and no insight. And like your Chopra-clone chum all you do is preach and patronise, but it is all cliche and BS.

This thread is like Alice's tea party in la-la land, and you are the Mad Hatter.

It is true my mortal I could never recognize non-duality...but it's not due to my lack of misunderstanding.....you do not understand what is explained to you because you do not yet have the prerequisite understanding. But I am patient having been through the ropes, and are prepared to help the noobs...

An 'I' recognizing anything implies duality....there is a recognizer and that recognized....it is only when the mind is still and free from thought, that the discriminating 'I' ceases to arise to disturb the non-duality timelessness...all duality mindfulness ceases...

There you go again, pretending to be all superior when you are clearly not. It's just deepity and cliche, stuff you regurgitate at regular intervals, like your Chopra-clone chum.

You've experienced some samadhi ( no big deal ) and read all sorts of stuff into it, based on your theist preconceptions. But you are completely missing the point, all you have done is created another redundant DIY religion, another load of concepts and beliefs which take you even further away from the beauty of the present moment.

If you want to experience some real "non-duality", try this out, it really does work. The practice here is "bare attention", basically mindfulness.

"Then, Bāhiya, you should train yourself thus: In reference to the seen, there will be only the seen. In reference to the heard, only the heard. In reference to the sensed, only the sensed. In reference to the cognized, only the cognized. That is how you should train yourself. When for you there will be only the seen in reference to the seen, only the heard in reference to the heard, only the sensed in reference to the sensed, only the cognized in reference to the cognized, then, Bāhiya, there is no you in connection with that. When there is no you in connection with that, there is no you there. When there is no you there, you are neither here nor yonder nor between the two. This, just this, is the end of stress."

I agree that mindfulness is a prerequisite to realizing that beyond mindfulness...it is a part of the unfolding process of a reality beyond duality. Mindfulness as its goal is the development of a deeper awareness of mind beyond than that involved in mere thinking.....that in turn prepares the mind for the next level of unfoldment wrt to finding out what and who you really are in th context of cosmos.

I do not mind that you do not like the concept of absolute or religion to be introduced....I am always pleased to share with any serious student of reality that beyond the contemporary common understanding of the basis of existence....who knows who is paying attention?

The problem is that I am not one of your students, and neither is anyone else here. Claiming superior knowledge and presenting yourself as some sort of teacher here is simply not credible, you are just expressing personal opinions like everyone else, and your beliefs can easily be challenged. Much like your Chopra-clone chum, who also seems to have delusions of grandeur. Both of you think you are better than anyone else, you continually preach and patronise, and you are not in the least bit interested in what anyone else has to say.

When I WANT to listen to teachers there are plenty of authentic ones in the Buddhist traditions, and elsewhere. I do look at other ideas and possibilities, but what I have seen on this thread is mostly incoherent BS and cliche preached by people on ego-trips.

Hee hee! No, I couldn't write for Trump because he is just another snake-oil seller, a dodgy purveyor of cliche and half-truths.

And as for rings, I have no need for a "Precious", though making people disappear might be quite handy. :p

It is more like looking for the Holy Grail, a pointless quest. People clutch at metaphysical straws and create fantasies in their head, then they get this overwhelming urge to share their delusions with other people, as if the sharing somehow makes it more real.
Here is part of a historical documentary about the quest for the Grail, which includes the line "I fart in your general direction", a good description of the preaching that is done on this thread!
