Thou art That
In other words there is no "this side of reality", or "that side of reality". There is no "this is the false Tao", or "that is the true Tao".
There is the false view that this is the case.

The self is an illusion. It is merely a collection of past images, experiences, labels, etc. all concocted together to appear as a real entity called 'I'.
There is no such 'I' in the first place that can be mindless. There is only consciousness, without an agent of consciousness.
So what? Things are not always as we see them. Just because the mind percieves duality doesn't mean that the mind is separate from the universe.
Consciousness is interaction.
What is that which changes? What is that which interacts and with what?I think statements like "everything is change" or "everything is interaction" are more meaningful than "everything is energy".
What 'mind' are you referring to that is not separate from the universe? There is no such mind. There is only the universe, and you are it.
This side of reality? Sorry, but there are no "sides" to reality much like there are no real "sides" of that metaphorical river which you so desperately try to cross with your giant, ego-inflated raft.
The one which made you think and respond to my post.

If there are no sides to reality, why do you talk about this and that as being unified?
'this side of reality' is meaningful to someone who has not yet realized that there are no sides to reality.
A Zen student, trying to find a place to cross a wide river:
'Master, how do you get to the other side?'
Master: 'You ARE on the other side!'
There must exist a "self" for there to be a "self-created illusion". This self is the mind (or is necessarily dependent upon it)
No, but since one thinks one is separate from the universe, one acts accordingly.
You simply misunderstand what I am saying. There is no this or that which is unified or this and that which is interactive or interconnected. There is only interaction, interconnectivity and unity. These are dualistic things. You wrongly percieve them to be dualistic.
Empty of 'mind' on this side.
What are you talking about, and who, or what is it that is pointing to 'mind', if not the illusion of mind itself?
Everything is interconnected and interdependent, therefore NOTHING is self-created, not even the mind.
I call bulls***. Full of ego is more like it.
what mind? see? you just created the illusion of mind.
I call bulls***. Full of ego is more like it.
It wasn't self-created.
You're saying there is someone on this side of the conversation that is responding to your post? Where? There is no such entity. There is only consciousness responding to posts. There is no such responder of the response. You must like echoes, yes? This is like TS Elliot's:
"We shall prepare a face to meet the faces that we meet"
or Descarte's 'I think, therefore I exist', crap.
I suppose that when he's not thinking, he doesn't exist.
