If God is evil...

That is an interesting view. Dangerously foolish. Willingly stupid.
Yet it is my point of view and it is sad to see some people are only limited to one.

I just watched a bit of Requiem for a Dream on Youtube. After that, I watched a few documentary-style vids about crystal meth. It showed what happens to peoples' faces and bodies after prolonged meth use. Made me feel ill, like I was going to vomit. It was definitely not for the kids.

Ya there face gets like that and they lose teeth due to malnutrition. I know some people that are prescribed prescription drugs / painkillers and other crap and they are the same way. No real difference. Yet it is sad that we live in a society where adults feel they have an authority over a kid or younger person instead of trying to offer assistance and talk to them about things instead of accusing them of crap without ever taking taking the time to help them understand and just give up as if they are a lost cause.

Younger people are better educated then adults sometimes. You know the first thing to go when you get older is your brain.

Look, I'm not dogmatically anti-drug. I take a lot of prescription drugs every day and I know just how dangerous misusing this stuff can be. I've been hospitalized a few times because I used them incorrectly. They are psych meds, which are extremely dangerous if used incorrectly, even fatal. All it takes is one bad combination and you're dead. I have come to greatly respect the Rx pills and caplets that allow me to have a life.

What do you mean by this?

That is really all I am trying to say. All drugs can be used and abused it doesn't matter if they are over the counter or not.

Just because you have kids doesn't make you a good parent.
Just because you go to church on Sunday doesn't make you a good person.
Just because you don't believe in diddly squat doesn't mean you are rocket scientist (i.e, mad scienctist)
Just because you eat fruit and vegetables doesn't mean you are a vegetarian or a fruit.
Just because it will rain on Tuesday doesn't mean it will rain on every Tuesday that follows.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he has more important things to do then pay attenion to a hertic.

So do you believe God isn't omniscient and doesn't know what you said, or do you just believe he doesn't care?

I'm interested in your belief system because I've never met someone who believed in a God even they considered a tyrant. Do you think that tyrant God will send you to hell, or what?

I hope he doesn't care.

Yes the tyrant God will send me to hell I'm also hoping that our christian view of God is wrong and he isn't such a tyrant, but more like a creator who just lost intrest in his creation.

...would you still worship him/her/them to try to get to heaven/paradise?

Or would you reject them as an evil being(s)?

The reason I ask is because every now and then I talk to theists who -- upon being asked about genocides and wicked, terrible things in some holy text or another -- basically just shrug and basically say "Yeah, God is wrathful. So?"

It always throws me for a loop because I want to say, "And you worship this guy? Why?!"

So, if God is evil -- if God is a vindictive, petty tyrant crybaby of a god that murders people to show the world how awesome he/she is like apparently some people believe he is -- would you still worship him?

For those of you who DO think God is wrathful and vindictive (and what I would call petty), why do you worship such a wicked being? If you believe God is wrathful and all that and DON'T worship him, do you ever worry he's going to lay the smack down on you?

And this reminds me of a George Calrin quote:

When it comes to ********, big-time, major league ********, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. No contest. Religion. Religion easily has the greatest ********story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! But.........
He loves you. He loves you! And He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good ******** story. Holy ****!

You have fallen for the oldest trick in the book. God is not what you have heard he is. God is not mortal or moral. God defined himself by saying "I am that I am." All the evils that has and is happening to man kind have been done to mankind by man or acts of nature, like earth quacks. God created everything, gave us moral and natural laws (such as you reap what you sow) and set us free and said deal with it. That seems to be the freedom that everybody wants even though it is always the so called free thinkers critises god for giving mankind this freedom.

'earth quacks' :D

Isn't a good thing that they are criticizing? They are exercising that gift.
