Let's try a different angle...what work were you doing before you became unemployed ?

Don't have a career, just do general labor, I like to work hard, to be tired at the end of the day. I have worked many places, hard work doesn't scare me, like I said I like working hard. Now the docs tell me thats out.
You need to get back to work. Go down to your local Walmart and apply. You can be a greeter.
Then you need to get your GED or finish High School.
I help people all the time, it is not so bad, you will be fine if you take my advice.

Very good advice.
I am interested to know more about the Saint's disability, because there are so many minds on RF from so many backgrounds that maybe some of us could make suggestions.
Finished high school, took vo-tech, the vo-tech I took after high school no longer exist. I will check out wm
I think we make a good team, we should start a career advice thread. It will probably turn into a DIR.
Excellent. What vo-tech did you take ? Walmart is just one example, there are thousands of jobs you could get until your health recovers. The best thing to do is get back into the job search and the real world. After you get that temporary job, we will talk education.
Stay positive and work hard. You will be fine.
Machine shop, can run lathes milling machine's, etc. Now every thing is cnc, computer control, as as you may know alot of those have been outsourced to china.
What is the name of the medical condition that entraps you at home?
That might help some of us to understand your position better...
Has your family applied to some sort of subsidized housing based on disability?Severe depression and anxiety.
Also, I'd appreciate it if people didn't hijack my thread.

It might help in the long term, if you feel that it's needed, especially because now it has been two emergencies spread 3 months apart. I know it's not helpful for the short term issue, but it sounds like it's worth looking into at least, unless you see some specific event on the horizon that is going to fix this problem within the next few years.No. My mom says it's about a two year waiting list and we probably wouldn't get it because there's no minor children. But I really don't know anything about that. It wouldn't help us in current emergency, anyway.

I know someone who has no minor children but has subsidized housing for her disability.
I'm going to get on SSI and that will help. Even if I only get $300 a month, it will help a lot. But none of this is going to matter if we're not helped now.
Go Fund Me seems to be a good idea for this situation in the mid term.
However, it is my understanding that St. Frank needs to deal with it in the next few days. From what I have read of Go Fund Me, it simply does not allow withdrawals without at least a five days wait.
I may be a good idea to set up an account for the near future, though, or at least research how it is done and how it works. Better than having to go through it again later if it comes to that.
