Yes, I'm angry. I've been angry at this place for a long time and I've allowed myself to be openly so.
It's a Progressive echo chamber.
If I said I believe it's everyone's duty to marry and have kids I would be horribly attacked. Not even sought to be understood, just attacked.
So when everyone has had his say on here, which I feel the need to address instead of just leaving in a huff without comment, I'm going to focus on my 3rd year of university, my reading, my boyfriend and our plan to move to Pennsylvania. This place ****s me up and worsens my already medicated mood disorder. I really don't need it.
And it's broader than that.
As a libertarian, I get attacked by both.
But I make the conscious decisions that
it won't adversely affect me. They're just
people with reactions & opinions. And
sometimes they even agree with me!
BTW, I spend much time in PA, especially in
rural western PA. Mountains (small) & trees
abound. Nice place. But be prepared for
continual construction delays on I-80.

But as strong capitalists the US suits us infinitely better than anywhere in Europe at the minute. We have considered Australia but my partner doesn't like all the murderous animals and how far the journey is.
I have a lot of beef with aspects of US culture, especially the political climate, but I certainly don't hate the country or its people.
We also like the Bill of Rights, the ability to legally carry and so on. I do nightshifts because of my insomnia and he worries for my safety.
UK doesn't allow legal carry of any weapons. It makes us both feel extremely unsafe especially if we have kids.

The Anglican Church is incorporated into the English and sometimes the British state and had a large hand in England's becoming one of the most industrial capitalist nations on the planet.

We just liked the location, the house prices seemed doable, the climate bearable etc. Also have a US friend who lives there and wants to help us move. He sent me the MAGA hat and t-shirt with the candy.
