"In God We Trust" should be removed from US money.

Stop putting money in your wallet...Then maybe someone would take you seriously...No one forces you to use and enjoy a dollar bill for what you can get out of it..and no one forces you to earn it..

Mind if I put this little branded number on your forehead or wrist?

The wrongness of an act is determined entirely independently from whether those decrying that act are hypocritical or whether humans in general find that act bothersome. Therefore, these things are irrelevant to the issue of whether this phrase should be removed.

So minority rules???

I accept I'm an American (human) where even today there is a God....

And I have witnnessed things that I reconsidered God..Including the death of my father...
..Earn your money and spend it resentfully because its bothersome...and leave the masses alone that need God..

If not start your own currency..You will have .02 of the world...I hope ya'll have enough money to get that started..

If you want to compare the power of a spending dollar to being "branded " you have got to be kidding me..

My husband and I have a business..Many dollars are passed ..when I write a darn check to pay my electricity or buy goceries with my depit card it does not say "I trust God"...

This is quite interesting..

Whatever..."the threat of the dollar which I spend as I want"!

The dollar hasnt threatened me because it said God..

Nevermind..

98% of the world feels that Alberians are hell spawns and should be stamped out of existence. What? That Alberian doesn't think that's fair? Too bad, if he doesn't like it, he can start his own damn world.

By your logic, almost every single act of bigotry and genocide is perfectly justifiable. How dare that damn minority tell us we can't kill him.

Gotta love mob rule.

Well, I'm very happy the King is on my current form of currency because He is real all loving and kind and in Him I can trust. If I really need something all I have to do is write to the King and he will provide, something serious mind you, like running water, sanitation, electric, education, better farming conditions His Majesty even invented cloud seeding and can make it rain on demand so indeed in His Majesty King Phumiphon Adunyadet (RAMA IX) I trust and pledge my life and loyalty. In the past when I believed in god what did I get for all my prayers? Ignored is what I got. And just for the record 98% of the world does not believe in god as a matter of fact less than half of the world believe in the God of Abraham.

Some people just can't grasp sarcasm even if it hits them repeatedly in the face with a lead weighted bat and drowns them in hydrochloric acid.
Anyhow, your logic is still faulty. Just because 98% of the world believes in God, it does not mean In God We Trust should be on a dollar bill.
There are a great deal of better arguments than 'It does no harm' or 'People believe in god'
A large number of people believe in leprechauns. Should we put 'In Leprechauns We Trust on our money now? The majority is never sane.
My argument for removing it: We save ink. Therefore lowering pollution from ink manufacturing plants, lowering the number of greenhouse gases in the air, thereby saving the planet from becoming a giant desert. By removing in God We Trust, we can save the world. Don't you want to save the world?

I love the, "In God we Trust" on the money. If you don't like it, perhaps we could put it to a vote.

On another note, George W. Bush will go down in history as a great President. He has done so much for my family and I. Small business owners and people who save and invest love the man.

Perhaps that is why only 17% of the country is still behind him. When the Iraqis hanged Saddam Hussein, it made it crystal clear to me that the weapons of mass destruction was secondary.

Just look at all the symbolisms surrounding the "in god we trust" insignia.
It is a wonder to me why christians believe this refers to the christian god at all?
when every sign and symbol there points elsewhere.

The private elite banking families act rather as god's over the world.
Perhaps it's their own little private joke,
as they bank on the easy gullability of the mass populatiion yet once again.
The banking families themselves are the gods in which the world trusts,
as they have the power/magick to grow illusory wealth (money)
on their family trees.

I'm only making the claim that your rebuttals are irrelevant since you need to do more than attack your opponents in order to attack their arguments.

It does not follow from your rebuttals being irrelevant that your position is wrong. Only that you have failed to justify its rightness.

Why do you need God on your currency?

Telling a minority to either shut up or go away is not democratic. Every citizen gets to have a say in the decision making even if they do not agree with the majority and if you don't like that then it is you who has the problem with democracy.

Our nation was founded on men who believed there is a God..(along with 98% of the rest of the world)....If it bothers you start a better system..
It was founded by men who didn't believe there was any pressing need to put any mention of God on their money.

The phrase "In God We Trust" wasn't first added to coins until the Civil War, long after all the American Founding Fathers were dead and buried. Even the American people of the 19th century didn't think it was mandatory. They used the phrase inconsistently: it appeared on some coins and not on others... it didn't start appearing on all US coinage until 1938. It wasn't until 1956 that "In God We Trust" was officially made the motto of the United States, and the phrase wasn't used on paper money before 1957 at all.

Personally I don't care what's on my money. I wouldn't even care if it said BBB is stupid as long as it pays my foods etc.
Just curious, would you think the same if you were the minority and the money said: "No need for God with this" or something?
