I believe that "In God We Trust" should be removed from US money. The word "we" in official US government documents, including money, should refer to ALL Americans, not just the majority of Americans. Americans are free to believe in God if they wish, but there is no need to advertise their belief on our money.

So you are probably one who would change the Pledge of Allegiance if you could.

"One Nation Under GOD..."

"In GOD We Trust" serves as a reminder that GOD is all that matters and that money is the root of all evil......Be careful with it....because it could corrupt you.

Are you serious? You realize that religion corrupts people as much as money does, right? And, yes, I would change the Pledge of Allegiance, too, if I had the ability. I live my life without your God, so I guess He is not all that matters. ;)

Do you not believe in the Christian God? I'm sorry if I was wrong about that.

You seem to like religion yourself, so I thought I'd point out that the religion you seem to be involved in can be just as bad for people as money. I'm glad you believe in such a loving God, but many of us don't, and don't want him in our politics or daily lives.

I also think that it should be removed. I'm not too worried about it, because it is just money, but there are numerous examples of how the belief in God is expected of me in this country, and I dislike that.

Who is the "Christian God" you are referring to and what does the "Christian God" represent to you?

Religion seems to create division and encourages labeling. (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Catholic, Baptist, Protestant, Shia, Sunny, Buhdism, Hinduism, etc..etc...too long to list)

Am a follower of Jesus.....call it whatever you like.

God Loves You Bro.

I'm your huckleberry.
What teachers have you had? I have to go to extraordinary steps to make sure I don't include God in our discussions.

Everything in this country implies that everyone believes in god... "In God we trust," the pledge of alligence, "...under god..." Teachers mentioning God as if we all understand that it is the truth... Grrrrr...

Thanks for sharing. No one has ever expected ME to believe in GOD.

personally, i dont think that the God on the american bill is the God that we believe in (the jewish/muslim/christian God). neither's that all-seeing eye&pyramid. what it is is a pagan god...the ancient egyptian god. you should look at some of the actual beliefs of the people who founded our country.

i'll just copy & paste the rest.

Horus is a god/deity of the Ancient Egyptians that became recognized as the God of civil order and justice. Each of the Egyptian pharaohs were believed to be the living embodiment -- an incarnation -- of Horus. The image and inscription on the back of the American one dollar bill is the 'all-seeing eye of Horus' surrounded by a bright light on top of the unfinished 13 step pryamid, beside it is written 'IN GOD WE TRUST' and underneath is printed ONE. The 'all-seeing eye of Horus' surrounded by a bright light has nothing to do with the Word who is the God of Abraham, Mose, and all the prophets. The spiritual influence of these ancient deities, which originate from the serpent of old, are still great and present within the Christian cults of today. This is why it is written in Rev. 17:5, "On her forehead a name was written:---" THE MYSTERY which was kept since the world began is the serpent of old that was in 'The Garden of Eden'.
