The historical fact is that Supreme Court of India has absolved Modi of any wrong doing, has not found any delay on his part in controlling the situation. The neighboring Congress governed states did not care to send in forces when Modi requested them. The carnage was started by a pre-planned Muslim burning of the train in which 59 people died. And not only muslims but Hindus too died in Muslim or police firing. Kindly get the facts. Don't depend totally on NYT. Also that Gujarat Muslims are happy now and support Modi. As for occasional skirmishes between Hindus and Muslims, they will continue. India is a large country. And many of the Muslims fundamentalist orientation because of indoctrination by religious leaders and madarsas. OK. Let US begin with the destruction of its nuclear arsenal which can destroy the world 20 times over. You see, this is why India has not signed the NPT. The five countries want others to do this while keeping their arsenals safe.

Lol I'd never commit such acts against another human. Just saying what goes around comes around. It's about time India stops standing around while innocent Hindu's are getting demolished In Kashmir

Yes, I am talking of 'Jammu and Kashmir'. Just wait till December when the elections take place. Modi has a magic wand. BJP's formula '+44'. The formula seems to be in action in Maharashtra and Haryana today (both states are voting today for the state government).

Maharashtra and Haryana Exit Polls: BJP wins both. If it does not get clear majority, it would be close to the mark to be able to form governments. In Maharashtra it can join Shiv Sena, which will be the second largest party (127/77 for the two parties, the majority with 145). Congress mauled severely in both states. Now Jammu and Kashmir, perhaps in December. Jai Modi.

I check the news for new skirmishes every day. Seems things have calmed down. There are UN observers there too. Always, in these border disputes everywhere, each side says the other fired first. Reminds me of asking two kids in the principal's office about a recess playground fight. "Who started it?" Of course both kids agree, as each says, rather quickly, "He did."

I hope Modi has made his point now, and Pakistan (and China, elsewhere) will back off some. If not, he's sure to make the point again.

... in this case, however, it's Pakistan that violates ceasefire agreements.
