According to biblical scripture, God created hell for the devil and his angels. Hell was never meant for people. When sin came into the world through Adam and Eve, thanks to Satan, there was no access to heaven because sin cannot enter heaven and Satan knew it. To this day, Satan wants to keep anyone he can from entering heaven by means of attitudes, money, power, religions, no belief at all, it doesnt matter to him as long as you dont get in! He knows his fate and hes pissed! He hates God and Gods creation which is you and me. Now thats a problem. No one can enter heaven when they die. So, it was established that blood sacrifices had to be made to atone for that sin. It was a precursor to the one who would come in the future. When Jesus came into the world, he made a new covenant through His perfect sacrifice on the cross to pay for the sins of all mankind past present and future. God doesnt want anyone to go to hell and did everything He could to give us a way out. He sacrificed His own son Jesus so that we could have access to enter heaven if we so choose to. Now, say what you want, but, that is LOVE in action! I dont know of any other god or leader of any religion that has done that for anyone. However, because He also gave us free will to choose, just like Adam and Eve, we can say thanks God but no thanks, I want to choose what is evil and what is right and whether I should do it or not. Because of that free will, we have what we have today, the manifestation of evil through those who choose not to live by the standard set forth by God. I realize not everyone believes this. Your belief, whatever it is at the time of your death, is going to be the final statement each individual makes to God. You will know immediately upon your last breath on earth whether what you believed was true or false. At that point your eternity begins. I would make this recommendation and that goes for myself, to make absolutely positively sure while you are alive that you do all you can to weigh everything you can about the belief system you are currently in and is it true or not, because once you die there is no turning back and you have no one to blame for where you might end up, because you made that decision! God is not going put a rope around your neck and say come with me. He said here is the problem, here is the solution, do you want it or not. Thats the beauty of free will, we get to choose where we want to spend eternity. So is God helpless under the realm of free will? Not any more than we are when we wisely tell our children no matter what their age is, not to do something and they do it anyway. We will always love them and be there for them by giving them our real world advise, but they have to learn on their own what the consequences are for not taking our wise counsel. Some learn more harshly than others. We can recover from lifes mistakes most of the time, but an eternal mistake not so much.
