There is no "valid Shariah, etc", except Quran the first and foremost source of guidance of Muslims whatever the denomination. Quran poses no problem to any country/state/civilization.

We have a disagreement of semantics that must be resolved before I can comment. Islam is a Western faith, no less than Judaism, Christianity or Baha'i. As opposed to Eastern faith/philosophy. When this is understood, the question needs reframed. Every properly constructed question has an answer.

More accurately, it is Middle Eastern. May as well use the geographical reference to the source point, as "the west" is normally seen as being Europe and North and South America.
