Is it okay to disagree with your religion?

... it is a primitive and distorted interpretation of Islam that gives a small percentage of them them the motivation to commit various acts of terrorism.

Let me correct that. [without personal insults]

it is a primitive and distorted interpretation of religious text, that breeds fanaticism and fundamentalism required to follow the religion, that motivates many to commit various acts of terrorism and a lack of literacy in many cultures following said religion. Is not the most violent geographic locations on the planet?

More so then any other religious traditions.

My only issue is it seems it requires one to have more faith, and live more mythology, then other religions, which has raised the number of fundamentalist to include almost all followers.

With Christianity we have a YEC issue, Judaism you have orthodox issues, the fanaticism and fundamentalism does not permeate to all followers like it does in this tradition.

This is how I see the negative aspects.

What sort of retard believes that?

You will soon be banned for that type of insult on others intellect or faith. You have to word things carefully.

me I would edit that reply and say what kind of reason is involved in that, and ditch the whole retard thing if you want to continue to post here.

But that's beating around the bush. There is so much empirical evidence that suggests otherwise. Believing that the world is only 7000 years old could be potentially dangerous and reflects a point of view which, for all useful purposes, has been retarded by misinformation.

Why is being insulted by something inherently an argument?

This is a place where people of all beliefs no matter how whacky, can debate in a peaceful friendly environment. It is the rules. Please obey or go. And go wont be a choice.

Bush was right about pretty much everything but the media kept him down. Then Obama came along and everyone went crazy over the whole "half-white president" thing.

Bush was right; we live in a dangerous world but it's getting harder and harder to find out who the enemy is. I think Islam is just a helpful guide as to who we should be fighting because they hate us and our freedom and want to stone women like me to death. That's horrible.

Bush was an idiot. He didn't know what he was talking about half the time, and the rest of the time, it was just stuff being fed to him by Dick Cheney or other cohorts. I also have never once heard this "half-white president" thing you speak of (though I've seen that rather silly picture of Obama with a Hitler mustache, which I won't trust as being anything other than a downright lie until I see him try to spread the US's borders across North America, and send every non-American to death-camps.)

Muslims don't "hate our freedoms", because that's a nonsensical phrase in the first place. Our "freedoms" are already matched by pretty much all the other developed countries in the world. Even when it comes to stoning, that's typically fringe and not in any way universal among all Muslims. You also forget that there's a fair amount of Muslims in the US, and they're living peacefully among us non-Muslims just fine. If you don't trust that the media was depicting Bush fairly, why trust what the media depicts about Islam?

Heck, why trust the media at all?

I know exactly who my "enemy" is, and they've been dead for 2000 years.

I recommend that you watch the movie "W." by Oliver Stone. It'll clarify everything for you.

But what about my beliefs? I think I'm being perfectly respectful.

Your beliefs still have to follow the rules here, as you agreed to when you joined.

Now your probably just some random POE who will get blown out today or tomorrow, if not just a returning person already banned.
