But I digress, were was I, oh yes Jesus and his fathering himself. Some claim Jesus to be god, some claim him to be gods first born. The point to “Jesus was his own father” is to point out that it does not matter that god would father himself, or have sex with his own under aged mother. Why would It matter if god did those things anyway, is not god beyond being judged? Many have argued that the bible is not with out error, and the virgin birth, was a miss understanding of terms. I don’t think it really matters, I do think its silly to think that god would use Jesus like the bible says, it does not show gods love but his indifference to men. His callowness in allowing sin to enter in to men shows his evil intent. The god of the bible requires forced love. Like a rapist he holds the knife of religious suffering and fear. Penetrating our souls again and again all the wile whispering his hot breath in our ear, telling us how much he loves us. And how much easer it would be for us if we just stopped fighting it.
You live in a religious world of your own choosing, you reinforce you beliefs by singing songs of devotion, reading books of religious affirmation, and visiting your brand of church. You search only for understanding that supports your pre described beliefs. And suppress your own questions you have about your faith and god, buy calling them mystery’s, or miracle. You turn the “mystery’s and miracles” in to love gifts from your holy celestial lover, and drink deeply from the fountain of delusion called faith. How you puff up at the saying that your love is nothing more than self love, Narcissistic, self serving, and wrong. Religion teaches you to debase yourself, and to then praise god and to draw close to him and then be in him, all blame and error can be deflected by the god you now serve, you can at the same time claim that you are lowly and frail, but through your god have all strength, and set with god in his throne of judgment. The high-mindedness you had before you project on to you god. You truly have your cake and eat it to.
God is not real, at least not the god of the bible, or even the god of the Christians. The likelihood of all other faiths that ever were, all being wrong and only yours being rights is foolishness. Your personal religion is just as likely as everyone’s. And just as likely to be false. some say false hope is better than no hope. I don’t know, I don’t like to be lied to, so I will take the no hope. I think hope can do great damage to stupid people. When you can blame evil on a devil, or your acts on a god , you no longer have to take the blame, like there is no forgiveness with out the shedding of blood. So cane killed able, and the Romans killed Jesus. And on and on. But I believe that you can forgive with out blood, I believe that god could forgive man’s sin with out blood, I believe that god could have made man with out sin, and still been able to allow him to have free will. I believe that religion, all religion is self-serving. I believe that the god man serves, is tainted by very humanity that makes man who he is. It is our reason, our wish, our hope, our faith, that drives us to answer the questions we cant ever hope to know. And in our failing we are left with religion, and dogma, creed. And it is they that we worship, and kill for. It is them we seek to please and draw close to. Never knowing the empty heat that burns in its heart, consumes our lives, and robes us of any real pathway to understanding. And freedom.
