Is Sponge-Bob Square Pants a 'gay' symbol?

We need a seperate thread.

Got to head to work...

Just as the so called "independent" studies done on the theories of evolution are bias, so are many of the so called "independent" studies done on same sex parenting, bias...

And even if I were to post an independent study stating the ill affects of same sex parenting, there would always be some sort of loophole you would all find..

Waste of my time posting any studies done on this subject..

Same sex parenting creates unhealthy sexually oriented kids, based on what I've personally observed to be true...

I work in fast food, so I've sen all kinds of individuals and have had all kinds confess to me horror parenting stories....the worst story was from a lesbian, who also had bisexual tendancies.. My heart went out to her...

She ended up marrying another young lady, unofficially here in Salt Lake...

She had a full blown wedding and all the other goodies/works and invited us all with printed invitations, etc...

Her father was full blown gay and had sex with our assistant manager... He was also the natural father of this girl. She was a sweety, but messed up and handling things the best she could..

...so everyone needs to decide within themselves, if homosexuality and same sex parenting is bad for the individual and society as a whole or nott...

Will not respond any further on this in this thread...

Thank goodness I just found out yesterday that the main manager of the store may be quitting, so I can throw his SpongeBob mousepad out, which I'm sure is his, just never asked...

Won't have to look at that strange cartoon image anymore....

I'm out...

Like I said earlier in the thread. Only a truly disturbed person can see Sponge-Bob cartoon and say "Oh no, a gay cartoon character! He'll teach all out children to be gay!".

Puh-freaking-leez.

Perhaps Homosexual parents can have friends fill the role of a missing male or female archetype. In any case, one of these archetypes is missing with single parents.

This is only a problem if we already believe homosexuality is a bad thing. I should start a Religious Church which claims Heterosexuality is unnatural and immoral. Then we will rant and rave how heterosexuality is against the commandments of God.

This thread reminds me of the episode of Drawn Together in which Wooldoor's children's show turned everyone gay.

I don't see the SpongeBob character as gay in any way, just a drawing, but the writers behind the character use this character to get their message across...

Like I said before it wasn't the image so much as the feelings I felt behind the image/artist...

The image did not sit right with me and now I know why.

It's the spirit/ideas/people behind the image that was felt, way before looking into this..

I've never even seen a SpongeBob cartoon, not even the link provided on this thread.

My boss has hinted towards being gay, even tho he is married, which seems to be the norm these days..

The owner of the place I work at has watched me clean the ovens with his cameras he has installed in almost all his stores.

The other co-owner has stated to me the best memory the OTHER owner has had of me was watching me take off my shirt while I cleaned one of his pizza ovens in another store...

It was unbearably hot and It usually takes me 8 hours to clean a mechanical pizza oven, two layered, one on top of the other...

He is LDS and is married and gets his thrills watching me clean one of his ovens with my shirt off..

This is the norm in our society....many others have expressed the same thing about me...

I am a sitting duck if I let my guard down for a minute...

I make it a point to be aware of my surroundings and who is or is not attracted to me, both male and female, and make it a point to try and avoid these individuals...because like I've said before I've been in dangerous situations before..

One time was with a non-LDS girlfriend of mine years ago, when I saw a male deomon literally come out of her and try to grab me...

He was sexually attracted to me, I could see it in his eyes...sick horrible feelings came over me and the image quickly left..

I soon after stopped dating her and soon after found my current LDS wife...

Homosexuality is nothing to be messed....

What''s the deal with the pineapples and SpongeBob anyway

Okay my boss just said to me that "He (SpongeBob) lives in a pineapple under the sea" and then started to sing the theme song which includes that line...but yeah Patrick is his "buddy"...lol... he says....when I asked if SpongeBob was gay...

well i have never had any bad experiences with gays, and a fair few with heterosexuals, so my testimony is completely opposite to yours, and also that i don't assume heterosexuals to be like the other people i have met is opposite to your assumptions as well. i guess i just try my hardest not to judge others on face value

Yeah, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, until they prove otherwise....

I have seen extreme anger rage in the hearts, eyes and minds of homosexual men and bisexual men...which is creepy and very scarey.

Sexual sins are next to murder in seriousness, according to God, and can lead to murder...

It's not unuseal to see rape and murder, both hetorosexual and homosexual, go hand in hand..

I can honestly say I know what women go through when they are stocked or feel threatened or are threatened by men...

I've experienced the same thing...

does fancying you "prove otherwise"? or do they have to act on it before you become wary of them? personally, i take people fancying me as a compliment, if they act on it i will turn them down (unless i fancy them), and if they push the issue i will become wary of them... but unless they really start to push the issue a lot, i won't actively avoid them.

I'll give you a recent example..

I guy we hired here at work kept staring at me, which many do when they first see me...I thought nothing of it, then later on another co-worker complained to me that this same person kept touching him and hugging him, without his permission. Sort of an innocent thing and no harm done, but to this co-worker, it was an invasion of his personal space and it made him angry and he confronted this person and told him straight up don't do that again, with a threatening stare in the eyes, so he made sure he got the message.. This is definitely a guy you would not want to mess with...

He shared some other things not appropriate for this forum...

The guy who was touching this other employee showed us some pictures of some male models with shirts off, so we knew at that point, yeah, he was gay, but at the same time he would date and have sex with girls, probably because he had a hard time finding a male partner...

Edit: I am good friends with the person given in this example...

He's really cool and was one of our best employees. I was saddened when he told us he was leaving...

He learned quickly to respect our space and we had a "special" high five touch hand thingy we would do...and I felt very good vibes from him....

He was half Jamaican and half white, with sort of long naturally curly, almost afro, brown hair, with natural highlights, just so you can get a picture of this character, very people oriented person.....

Most of us just need a human touch in our lives, not necessarily a gay or lesbian tendancy, but is may be a result of a lack of love or touch from our natural families (spouses, parents, brothers, sisters, etc..)

Hugs and other human touches are good...they are psychologically healling

I've observed that many gay men will settle for women if they can't find a male partner....

I know personally one of the 12 apostles of the church and know one of his daughters, who married a gay man, which she did not realize at the time she married him, and had around 5 children, at which time he left her for another gay man. She is now happily married to another man, who is definitely not gay, and she sings in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, each Sunday, and has been for about 3 years...

Her life was nothing short of tragic, but she is now very happily married to a person who seems to be her mirror image, just the opposite sex.... If you saw them you would know what I mean..

One of her daughters was constantly torn between the gay male parent and the heterosexual female parent... She liked the loose rules of the gay male, but also liked the security of the male/female heterosexual home

If they act on it i will turn them down (unless i fancy them), and if they push the issue i will become wary of them... but unless they really start to push the issue a lot, i won't actively avoid them.
Right, same here. It takes a long time before I actively avoid certain people, for whatever reason, not just the reasons we are discussing...

There are extreme cases and mild cases of abuse, both mentally and physically, and everything in between...

I've never been abused sexually in any way by either women or men....

I avoid those who continually prove to be bad/negative influences in my life...or those who continually mentally abuse or belittle me...

ok, that makes more sense... because the way i was reading your past posts, it seemed like you were actively avoiding all gay males simply because they are gay, even without knowing them. you might want to be careful how you phrase things, some of your posts have come off very homophobic and bigoted when i now realise they were not intended to be.

If you've never seen the show, then how can you even form an opinion about it?
I don't need to see the show, just googled statements by the writers concerning the episodes shown in the public schools and they are not shy about putting their agenda out there, cleverly disguised...

Christians do the same thing, in order to get their message across...

Would you consider P.O.D. a Christian group with a Christian message ???

P.O.D.-Going In Blind

P.O.D. Sleeping Awake

Christian themes run throughout most of their music

BUt, didn't we already establish that the tabloid WND site article about the "gay agenda in public schools" is a farse? Or were you not paying attention?

I wouldn't know, I don't listen to the group. I'm not about to make a judgment call about a band I've never heard.

Just curious, would that include the post where he said that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to raise children?

no, i was referring to the other ones where he was talking about how he conducts his friendships in his own life.

yeah, I saw that a WND article was being discussed, but skippped over the discussion, so yeah, sort of missed that....

Yeah, I'm pretty "closed up" to relationships because of being "burned" in the past..

People, in general, are really not what they used to be.

Okay, so that was harsh and unfair...I admit...who am I to say what others should and should not do with their lives and their children..

God allows us to live our lives the way we wish and who am I to take that priveledge away..

Sorry...:sorry1:

Live and let live should be our basic creed in order to get along with those not of our same religious or cultural background..
