It would take less 20 seconds to enter this problem, as it is written, verbatim, with the subtraction operator, negative sign and brackets.

Why are you avoiding my simple request for you to use a calculator?

Is it because you know that the calculator wouldn’t give you the “-5”, which is the wrong answer?

You can use a calculator, spreadsheet like Excel, or write & run a computer programming language like C, Basic, and they will all give you answer of 25, objectively.

The only idiocy I see is a person who reject objective method of getting the correct answer, from a basic calculator. Even your mobile phones would have basic calculator apps.

Your refusal to use a calculator, just showed how seriously inapt and pridefully dishonest you really are.

Yes, testing the hypothesis with a repeatable experiment is the most fundamental way of obtaining objective answers and acquiring measurable evidences.

It is rather sad how education in maths are woeful, particularly in the US, where adults cannot do basic arithmetic.

I have seen a laser engraver that might be based on my ideas , however I don't know the dates etc .

Blunt, I am not a scientist, nor a mathematician, but both physics and maths are important in my works, first as civil engineer in my 20s to mid-30s, then as a programmer and network engineer, from mid-30s to now 52.

I considered myself as engineer despite my background in both physics and mathematics.

But despite not referring to myself as scientist, physicist or mathematician, I can see that you have from the start in your very first reply to Subduction Zone on page 1 of this thread.

My niece understood maths better than you, when she was 10.

In Canada where I taught, the addition and subtraction of integers was in the Grade 6 curricula. Introductory trig was in Grade 9.
