look friend i am not preaching at anyone, but if you tink i am doing that then you are wrong, i'm just answering questions for non muslims from a muslim perspective, thats it. how can that be preaching?

if you do not beleive in god then anything i say to you will be a waste, to tell you the truth. i can give it a shot if you want but i am telling you it won't make sense to you, no one needs to tell you to beleive in god, you must do that your self.

Just offering my opinion mate. I was created by two humans as you were. God is clearly not present today to me and in a smaller world without planes and cars etc I would imagine he was not present ever except when men and women made him up.

well first of all saddam already was king, he had money, he even had lions as house pets. and do you know where he was found? in an underground buncker all alone and living like an animal, do you think that a king, a wealthy man like him would hide in a 3 metre buncker like a dog in his country wich was invaded by his enemie. come on Kai it doesn't make sense.if he really planed the attack on the US or if he knew of it don't you think that he would have atleast gone to a poor country such a Uzbekistan and payed some money to be hidden. i would do that, and he was not a child nor an immature person who had no such experiences, he was a leader, who killed people, so why would he hide inside a buncker in iraq. under the war zone a man was waiting patiently for the war to end, thats not something i can beleive. that sound like a fairy tale to me.

I think you misunderstood, my belief or lack there of is not simply because of technology... hehe... I was just saying at one time the world was smaller. As far as different religions? Surely you jest! You must have researched and learned every religion before settling on Islam as the one true one?

Did god directly speak to you? Because you have an abrahamic faith and there are MANY MANY variations and the only way you can be sure yours is true is to explore them all right?

Why does Islam reject evolution?

Because human beings are elevated than other creatures, they are the best of creatures and if we are the sons and daughters of monkeys then we are degraded and we no longer the best of creatures.
We do reject evolution because Allah told us in His holy book about our creation and how we were created:

[And [mention] when your Lord said to the angels, “Truly, I will create a man from clay. So when I have completed him, and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down prostrate to him.” And the angels prostrated, one and all. Save for Satan, who was too proud to, and disbelieved. He said to him, “O Satan, what prevented you from prostrating to what I have created with My two hands? Are you arrogant, or too exalted?” He said, “I am better than he; You created me from fire and created him from clay.”] (Saad 38:71-76)

Evolution is not an overnight process. life as we know it today have come to be what it is through billions of years of evolution.
Evolution is not a magical process, its a slow process that is influenced through the genome and effects of the environment. I believe it is much more logical than believing we were created magically in a single event.

by the way it doesn't make you a 'daughter of monkey' if it in anyway makes you feel less of a human, humans and apes are not the same species.

Daughter of a monkey? I am pretty sure your father was a homo-sapien.

Evolution is a painfully SLOW process. Humans (in the form we are today) appeared almost 2.5 million years ago and we are not that different, except maybe mental evolution is quicker then physical. Evolution is a process that ALWAYS happening. As the needs for humans adjust, we adjust to work for that req. Your view of evolution is such due to ignorance. I suggest you a learn a little more about evolution before making such comments.

Actually, humans didn't come so much from apes (gorillas, chimps etc.). Apes and humans had a common ancestor which they evolved from seperately as I understand it. Gorillas etc. went one evolutionary way to what we see today and humans evolved another way into what we see today.

1) How does Quran account for the fact that we have characteristics in common with animals?
2) Are Muslims anti-scientific, as denying evolution from animals despite the overwhelming evidence is anti scientific?(even our DNA is virtually identical to animals we have evolved from)
3) If you accept everything in the Quran, do you also accept claims like, "Birds fly by the power of Allah", "The earth is laid out flat like a carpet", "the sun chases the moon and sets in the sea"?

4) As a female, what do you get in heaven? The male believers get 1000 virgins, what do the female believers get?

ok Don. how did you become to be. did you evolve from a monkey of from bacteria. you were created in the woumb of your mother just as everyone else. so why is it stupid to say that you were created and isnted say you evolved.
