Isn't it better to be atheists?

It is a hobby I am getting bored with... I do not mind talking to nonbelievers but I cannot deal with the irrationality and the hate of some. They will never understand why an All-Powerful God is not responsible to do everything for them because they do not want to take any responsibility. It is always God's fault. Woe betide them on judgment day. I can only do what I can do. I cannot break through their delusions. ;)

Nice little StrawMan you have built up there. Be as shame if anyone paid it any attention.

Here's your Logical Fallacy: "do everything for them "

Nobody is asking for that. This is your Straw Man Construct.

As for delusions? Yes, indeedy-- you do suffer from quite a lot of them....

Prove me wrong: HAVE YOUR GOD COME DOWN AND SMITE ME OR SOMETHING.

I think we are done here because all that can be said has been said. ;)
You will have to find another sounding board for your hate.

God is not a myth, God is a reality, one you will be faced with after you die.
It will not be so funny then. :(

Hate? Just because I keep pointing out your logical flaws, and that your god is pure EVIL, you claim ... "HATE"?

Wow! Dude! Lighten up!

And yes-- your god IS a myth. NO god would suffer having YOU as it's spokes-person.

Oh, one more thing: THIS IS PURE HATE THAT YOU WROTE:

"God is a reality, one you will be faced with after you die."

A deliberate attempt to threaten me with some sort of diabolical outcome?

That is hilarious! You prove once more the god you worship is pure evil!

It's also quite sad-- that you would be willing to worship a being who has to stoop to infinite torture to get and keep followers.... that would be infinite evil.

Do you think you know more than an ALMIGHTY GOD about how to create humans and run a universe?

Actually? A 9th grade ETHICS class would do a better job. Seriously.

You worship an EVIL BEING. Period.

1) It is evil for using Special Favorites (Special Messengers)
2) It is evil for allowing god-preventable evil to exist in the world.
3) It is evil for allowing evil people to even be born in the first place.

Why? BECAUSE IT HAS ALL THE POWER-- and free will cannot exist in a universe that has an ALL POWERFUL being in it.

Free Will is an exercise of POWER-- and ALL POWERFUL eliminates all possibility of free will.

I know there is a life after death but I still worry about people I love dying, not as much as I would if there was no life after death though. I know I will see them again but I just don't know how I will recognize them. ;)

Oh, I worry every day, despite having religion. But the point being I can't see how it would be "better" to be truly worried. To see it as all there is.

I find it difficult to imagine a more dangerous ideology. No wonder climate change deniers and suchlike are so prevalent.
Apparently you do not understand the Baha'i theology. We are enjoined to live in this world and try to make it a better place, not think about the afterlife. By living here and acquiring good character we prepare for the afterlife but our focus should be on this life.

Baha'is are not climate change deniers, anything but... We believe in the harmony of science and religion, that both are important and both are needed, like two wings of a bird.

You have a good point. I have a certain amount of fear of the afterlife because it is so unknown, but it would be worse to believe this life is all there is. :(

Sure-- humanity is responsible for a lot of things that turned out evil.

However-- there are countless examples of god-preventable evil in the world.

That evil does, in fact, exist-- if there is an All Powerful God? IT IS PURE EVIL FOR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN.

And no-- it doesn't count if god stands by, watching the evil happen, with the empty promise:

"Oh, I am SO SORRY, little Jimmy, that the priest is hurting you. But You Betcha! I'll torture him FOREVER. Just You Wait. Once he dies at 80 of a bad heart, you BET I'll get right on that Torture! Too bad the entire time you live-- too short-- will also be torturous. But, hey, I'm all mysterious and stuff."

Wrong. You are wrong for allowing evil to happen. Many states allow lists of pedophiles and the neighborhoods where they live to be published. Since you are so worried about evil, and since statistically we know a high percentage will re offend, what have you done to stop this ? Nothing. You offer excuses, not my state, I don't have the time, none of my business etc., etc, etc. I would wager that other than look out for no. 1, you haven't lifted a finger. Heck, if you were really as concerned as you like to sound, you could go kill ten, they have committed heinous acts, and prevent one or two from doing it again, I mean, how selfless could you be in your elimination of evil ? Oh, you don't worry about the law do you Bob ? You mean simple laws and rules keep you from preventing evil ?

You, a paltry, human, all talk, and little or no action, proposes to judge God. You have as much insight into God as an ant does about a cray supercomputer. You shake your tiny arms and yell I want, I want, now, now, without doing anything yourself. God has the total perspective of the universe, and beyond, your perspective reaches figuratively to the end of your ant proboscis. Not nearly far enough for you to judge anyone, let alone God.

No, I am just trying to help you, sorry you cannot understand that... I am not God so I cannot say what your outcome will be.

As for me hating you, a person does not spend their time on people they hate, especially when they are so pressed for time. ;)

If God is as evil as you believe then you would be in big trouble... count yourself lucky that God's mercy far exceeds His wrath... but both are at God's discretion so it is not a smart idea to take chances.

BECAUSE IT HAS ALL THE POWER-- and free will cannot exist in a universe that has an ALL POWERFUL being in it.
It can exist if that is what the All-Powerful being wants.
All-Powerful does not mean the God has to USE all the power it has, it means it can do anything it wants to do.

It wants us to have free will and use it, so that is why we have it.

Spoiler Alert... Posting to nonbelievers of all shapes and sizes is my hobby, so I have been down this road before... :D

That is a straw man. I never said that overriding free will would ruin free will... My boss might override a decision I make but that does not take away my decision-making powers.

I only ever said that if God were to prevent all evil in the world God would have to override free will choices of everyone who was planning to do evil. If God did that, God would be making them into robots for that period of time.

Yes. God created a world with no evil, no suffering, pain, grief, greed, hate- which still exists today- for a Jellyfish. And hence they know no comfort, kindness, joy, love, either-

would anyone trade?

There is no such things as 'good' without 'bad' and without free will, neither have any meaning

Climate change deniers ? LOL Climate change, that ultimate universal truth that all scientists, meterologists bow down to, in which Al Gore has not been right yet in his predictions, but his bank account from it has far exceeded his predictions.

I'd be careful what you ask for. God is Almighty even if you do not believe that.
He is not my God and I do not have any control over Him because I am not Almighty.

LMAO! I've been challenging you god sellers to do that since 2005. Here it is, 2018. No god.

So, I quit actually looking for gods a long time ago-- they either do not exist, or they do not care or both.

No, my erstwhile contestant--- the god YOU believe in is EVIL.

But, I do not think such gods exist-- there is too much random good on earth for the sort of god YOU think is real, to actually be real.

But yeah.... you called my posts "hateful".... projection much? Yes... much. Very much.

Look, I understand: YOU BELIEVE THAT MIGHT MAKES RIGHT.

I think that is one of the most UNETHICAL things imaginable.

What can you do? You prefer bronze age ethics. I prefer modern era ethics.

What you apparently do not understand is that God cannot just prevent evil with the wave of a magic wand. God gave man free will, so humans are responsible to do good and prevent evil.

If God stepped into this world and interfered by preventing evil, it would upset the entire system that God created. God is not going to do that because there was a reason it was created this way. People just need to do the best they can to be good and help others and endure suffering, knowing that this mortal life is not forever, it is a small part of our total existence.

God has intervened by sending Messengers who brought the teachings and laws we need to do good and prevent evil, but if people do not recognize the Messenger or follow what He taught, it is not God's fault.
So God created a system such that it would collapse as soon as God did good deeds involving preventing evil? o_O
I am still unclear as to why my free will is not tampered with when another man intervenes (a police officer) and prevents me from doing evil, but will be tampered with if God did something similar.
