Italian writer against women choosing the bear: hating men has become fashionable

You should read the article, really.
Statistically, the percentage of men who would attack a woman in the wood is very, very low.
And by the way...being hit on by a man is not the same as being mauled by a wild bear.

I mean, I have been hit on by men on the streets, on the subway. I survived.
I am still straight. I am still into men.
;)
Um, I don't think the women who choose the bear are choosing the bear out of fear of being "hit on by a man."
The fear is being harmed by a man, as at least one in four women has been at some point in their lives.

Never in the history of mankind has a bear stopped attacking simply because a woman said STOP! Men have been known to stop when the woman tells him to. You've gotta be a special kinda stupid to choose a bear that has never been known to stop, over a man who has been known to stop when told to do so.
Well, I've said stop to a human man who didn't stop so .... ?

It's not hatred of men. That's just your whatever feeding you nonsense.
It's reality. Unless food or cubs are involved, especially in America the bear likely just won't be an issue and will scare off easily enough (here they tend to be more curious than anything).
But a man in the woods, very realistically thats an unpredictable situation. Probably be safe, but maybe not. There's no hatred of men, there's nothing fashionable, the strange man is way more likely to attack than the bear. That's just a fact.

Yes, it's possible, but unlikely due to countless factors. Examples:
1) the man can be gay
2) the man can be straight and find you unattractive
3) the man can be straight and married and totally faithful to his wife
4) the man can be straight but asexual
5) the man can be straight but be a gentleman and courteous
6) the man can be straight and just hit on you, without touching you.

But mainstream feminism indoctrinates women into the dogma that all men are potential rapists. All men. Disregarding those 6 options.
And this has become ridiculous and has to stop.

You can try to reason with a man. And calm him down.
You cannot communicate with a bear.

Yes.
There's a hatred of man.
Because if the question had been "would you rather be alone in a isolated wood with Brad Pitt or with a bear?",
I am sure many (not all, but let's say 20 out of 60) would still say bear.

Yes, I know. I was speaking of a different "handsome and sexy" man I would never want to meet in the woods.

Perhaps there is more to a person's character and personality than just their looks, eh?
Very true.
But in the case of Brad Pitt, it would be an army of girls chasing Brad Pitt, not the other way around.

1) the man can be gay
Gay are capable of harming people, as far as I know. Just like any other group of people.
2) the man can be straight and find you unattractive
So if a potential attacker finds me ugly and unattractive, they won't attack me? Everybody knows attackers only attack gorgeous people.
Whew!
3) the man can be straight and married and totally faithful to his wife
Such a man can still cause me harm.
4) the man can be straight but asexual
Why do you keep mention the attacker's sexuality and sexual preferences? There are other ways to harm a person than raping them.
5) the man can be straight but be a gentleman and courteous
Could be.
6) the man can be straight and just hit on you, without touching you.
Better not approach me when I'm alone in the woods. Not a smart idea.
But mainstream feminism indoctrinates women into the dogma that all men are potential rapists. All men. Disregarding those 6 options.
You know what led me to believe that men are potential rapists? Being raped twice. No indoctrination necessary. Though where this feminist indoctrination is taking place, I don't know.
And this has become ridiculous and has to stop.
It's ridiculous that women are trying to tell people what their fears are, and people such as yourselves are doing your best to diminish and mock those fears.

I thought you were speaking of rape.
It was obvious I was not speaking of murder.

Unwanted pregnancies due to rape are, statistically, 1%.
It's actually closer to 5% in the US, at least.
But even if it is just 1% that equates to tens of thousands of rape-related pregnancies.

"Rape-related pregnancy occurs with significant frequency. It is a cause of many unwanted pregnancies and is closely linked with family and domestic violence. As we address the epidemic of unintended pregnancies in the United States, greater attention and effort should be aimed at preventing and identifying unwanted pregnancies that result from sexual victimization."

"A new study estimates that more than 64,000 pregnancies resulted from rape between July 1, 2022, and January 1, 2024, in states where abortion has been banned throughout pregnancy in all or most cases. Of these, just more than 5,500 are estimated to have occurred in states with rape exceptions—and nearly 59,000 are estimated for states without exceptions. The authors calculate that more than 26,000 rape-caused pregnancies may have taken place in Texas alone. The findings were published on Wednesday in JAMA Internal Medicine."

Abortion is not the topic of this thread.
I am for abortion...so please...let us remain on topic. ;)

Perhaps. Or perhaps Brad Pitt is a sexual predator. Or can't control his temper. I don't know. Just being an attractive person doesn't make you a good person.
