Incensed with perceptions of infallibility do they come, self righteous judges who find a witch under every bed and a familiar in every cupboard. Angrily they drag the poor souls to the burning poles, gibbering crowds cheer on their suffering.
On another thread, I wrote, "
The left is not looking for the approval of the right. The left doesn't share the right's values" and you responded with, "
Now we are getting somewhere! Tell me more." This is what I was referring to. This would be an example of our differing values. I think that criminals should be identified and prosecuted. You describe the investigatory process as a witch hunt by an irrational and angry lynching mob - just like Trump. Most conservatives seem to be excusing Trump. They don't seem to care what he's guilty of, and don't have much interest in knowing, either. I can't identify with those values.
Or maybe I'm wrong about our differing values and you agree with me on this. I say that criminals need to be brought to justice even if they are Republicans. Do we have that value in common?
Incidentally, it's a criminal hunt, not a witch hunt, and plenty of criminals have already been identified, and either indicted or have chosen to cut deals for leniency for their cooperation, so I'd say that it's been a very successful hunting trip. Muller seems to finds a criminal under every rock he lifts in the Trump White House and sphere of orbit.
That's just it. Memories are long, and payback is a beach: Ken Starr. Swift boat. Benghazi. Birth certificate. Emails. Crooked Hillary. Lock her up.
Speaking of payback, I'm especially pleased to see Flynn, who famously led the "Lock her up" chanting at the 2016 Republican Nation Convention after announcing that we don't need a reckless president who feels above the law. Flynn also commented, "
If I did a tenth of what she did, I would be in jail today.”
Just wait your turn, Micheal. Soon enough - probably before the year's end if not the month's
