I've Sacrificed my belief in Evolution for Religion

And since we know what those ratios were in the past we can calibrate those ages to account for historic levels of 14C.
When it comes to how mankind arose C14 is of limited use. One can only use it to date objects that are roughly fifty thousand years old or less. Our time on the Earth as Homo sapians is at least four times that figure and now possibly six.

The ratio of 14C to 12C (1 to 1,000,000,000,000) has not always been the same on Earth, even in the past 4500 years.

4500 years? Where does that come from?

OK. I should probably stay out of this thread, anyway. I can't talk to people who believe that man was created 6,000 years ago or that the earth is flat, and so on. My mistake.

74:0.1 ADAM AND EVE arrived on [Earth], from the year A.D. 1934, 37,848 years ago. It was in midseason when the Garden was in the height of bloom that they arrived. At high noon and unannounced, the two seraphic transports, accompanied by the Jerusem personnel intrusted with the transportation of the biologic uplifters to Urantia, settled slowly to the surface of the revolving planet in the vicinity of the temple of the Universal Father. All the work of rematerializing the bodies of Adam and Eve was carried on within the precincts of this newly created shrine. And from the time of their arrival ten days passed before they were re-created in dual human form for presentation as the world’s new rulers. They regained consciousness simultaneously. -The Urantia Book

So once again @Hockeycowboy makes a series of accusations, but when asked to back them up completely ignores the request.

Makes one wonder.....is this the sort of "morality" practiced and promoted by those of his faith? And as I asked earlier, does he think that sort of behavior reflects on his faith in a positive way?

I've recently committed to rejoining my family's religion (the Jehovah's Witnesses). In doing so I'm obligated to give up my belief in evolution. This is hard for me because I find evolution so logical.
To combat my resistance to rejecting evolution, I've been researching all the objections to evolution and studying all the arguments for creation. It's not working. I can't seem to give up my belief in evolution, despite the fact that it goes against Jehovah's Witness theology.
What should i do?
How do I manipulate my logical facilities so that I can genuinely reject evolution and genuinely accept creation?
Read the first two chapters of Genesis. Ask the Holy Spirit to bless your study and open your mind. You will find that you were wonderfully created by God, you didn't evolve.

No, no one can, not accurately.

Why do you make that claim? Tree rings, for the most part, are one per year. Occasionally an extra ring can be found but those can usually be found by cross dating. Using tree rings C14 levels can be calibrated back to 10,000 years. Though as I pointed out elsewhere that does not matter. C14 is all but worthless in evolution since it covers such a short time span. Older strata are dated by other method of radiometric dating than C14.

Creationists are some of the best recruiting tools for atheism, if we were actively recruiting. Its a good thing for Christianity that creationists make up a minority of their worldwide congregation. There are some wonderfully brilliant and honest Christian biologists out there.

Years ago I used to say that if I were Satan and my goal was to turn people away from Christianity, I would become a creationist and thereby make Christianity seem so absurd and illogical that few people would want to be associated with it.

Flawed, as in useless, or flawed as in, not totally accurate?

Depends if you are a creo. Then it is completely worthless, at best.

For the rest of us, it , like some few other things, is not
perfect but reliably yields a lot of interesting and useful infol

We are faintly amused by the way the HS inspires so many different and contradictory readings.

And of course, how just with a few words spoken and
read, a person with a 2nd grade education thinks
he can pole vault his knowledge beyond that of any scientist.

It is as they say, real, and it is funny, but not, you know, real funny.
