Except this is NOT what the story in the Bible actually says.

Eve ate from the fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam ate after her. That is what gave them the knowledge of the difference between good and evil. So they should not be held repsonsible for that error: they did not know they were doing wrong in that story!

Second, clearly God knew that they would do this (or else is he not all-knowing). If God is also all-powerful, that means he was able to avoid that. Since it was NOT avoided, that means he chose not to, which makes the God of Genesis evil.

The 'perfect' creation did exactly what he claimed to not want. Either that shows it was not perfect or it shows he wanted sin to come into the world.

Again, that seems evil. To hold people who had no choice in the matter responsible for one individual is wrong.

But the problem wouldn't even exist if God chose to make creation better. The fact that there was a 'fix' showed that he *could* have done better.

Also, don't forget that this is God forgiving people by sacrificing himself, knowing he couldn't really die, for a transgression not done by the people involved, whose punishment is dictacted by the same being that decided to do this strange ritual to forgive people.

A nice story, full of archetypal characters, but let's face it, not even close to anything people would believe in except if told in a religious book.

How many would do that if they did not believe it to be TRUE!
Right you are numbers do not make it true... BUT it does prove their are others thinking differently then you! You have giving up setting your mind without honest investigation to discover truth!

Miracles are an indicator to something other then what you see! You don't believe in Ghosts again you are in the minority....
