xmas trees are "socially normal"

Religious laws limiting ones use of electricity are factually "not socially normal" as a whole.

A hot plate was factually left on to follow a regional orthodox religious law or customs.

Without this particular religious practice, a dangerous hotplate would not have been left on overnight, and 7 children would not have died.
Who are you to decide what is "socially normal"?

Christmas trees are a fire hazard. If people didn't have Christmas trees then those children whom were killed by the fire caused by them wouldn't have died.

If one person decides to not get a Christmas tree because of this thread my work here is done.

The hot plate malfunctioned. That is what led to the fire.

Another example of the grave danger of Christmas trees and fires.

Christmas Tree Fire Kills 3 Family Pets, Hurts Woman and Baby | NBC Southern California

Christmas Tree Fire Kills 3 Family Pets, Hurts Woman and Baby
A dry Christmas tree close to a fireplace is believed to be the cause of a house fire that killed three family pets and hospitalized an older woman and baby. Angie Crouch reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015.

Obviously Christmas trees are put up by religious fanatics whom have not freedom of choice due to their religious customs.

Wait cooking something for long time periods is against the social norm?

The hot plate would have not been left on overnight less the religious laws.

You know there are cooking techniques which require a lot of time

That's is what crockpots are for

You do realise that this is related to accidentally touching a hot plate without realising its still on, right?

YOU do realize this is more then just that.

You know there are cooking techniques which require a lot of time. Braising for example can take up to 7 hours.

Did you know your not supposed to leave hot plates unattended?

Do you turn dangerous appliances on overnight because your religion says you don't have the freedom to turn it on during certain times?

Electricity on Shabbat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Many Jews who strictly observe Shabbat (the Sabbath), especially within Orthodox Judaism, refrain from what is considered turning electricity on or off during Shabbat. They may also refrain from making adjustments to the intensity of electrical appliances. Various rabbinical authorities have pronounced on what is permitted and what is not, but there are many disagreements in detailed interpretation, both between different individual authorities and between branches of Judaism

Is this or is this not fanaticism, that is the question?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

This is why I am starting my campaign to ban the fire hazard of Christmas Trees.

They are only used by Christian fanatics.

I think I'll call the organization BTCT (Ban The Christmas Tree)

No.

The cause of the fire was an unknown malfunction of the hot plate.

But that is one case, one accident.
Does that mean observing Shabbat will always lead to accidents ?, doesn't make any sense.

The hot plate would have not been left on overnight less the religious laws.

This would be a more productive discussion if you knew something about cooking.

That's is what crockpots are for

Uhm you do realise that crockpots are often used on hot plates, right?
Or why do you think these special plates exist?

Uhm nope its about injuries. Are trying to classify a fire in a house as a reason of an injury? It says injury.

Did you know your not supposed to leave hot plates unattended?

Nope that depends. If its a slow cooking meal there is usually nothing that could happen. What one shouldn't do is to leave hot oil unattended for any period of time.

You know just because you repeat it again and again and write it bold doesn't make it true.
Also you don't care at all about the family, you only care about your point of view.

Is this or is this not fanaticism, that is the question?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I think the question is what's exactly wrong with you today.

This would be more productive if there were not religious laws or customs dictating when people could use electricity.

Having been a professional cook before, I never had to use a dangerous method of cooking because religion told me I had too.

Have you ever had to wash your hands using a soap product because health ordinances required that? And if you splash soap in your eyes, it hurts. Therefore, health ordinances which dictate when you use soap are hazards.

Some Jews are so fanatical and fundamental they debate whether they should be able to pick their nose or not, because IF they pull a hair out, it breaks religious customs of not trimming hair.

Will you claim other Jews do not view haredi as being fanatics???

And six children were killed because a Christmas tree led to a fire.

That's because of Christian fanatics dictated by their laws and customs.
