Brother , you got me wrong . If you could have read my previous posts attentively , you could have seen a tone of reconciliation and not of giving up somebody's' right ...

Muslims should compromise with Jews by establishing diplomatic relation to live with them in peace and harmony .

But regime of Israel don't want peace, they want to steal lands and being unjustice with Palestinians.

You should ask the Jews to do that first.by remove the oppression and occupation and racist treatement and unjustice .
which lead by nature to resistance by Palestinians and voilence.

There are a lot of good people in Jews community as well . Muslims could have tried to reconcile with them , then we would know their true faces .
Yes.
We do not have any problem for reconcling with good Jews, but the zionists are indeed those who do not want the reconciliation. The Jews of Iran live here without any problem.

Ayatullah Khamenei(Hafazahullah) has said,
"We believe, according to our Islamic principles, that neither throwing the Jews into the sea nor putting the Palestinian land on fire is logical and reasonable. Our position is that the Palestinian people should regain their rights. Palestine belongs to Palestinians, and the fate of Palestine should also be determined by the Palestinian people."(See here)

According to Chapter 18 , Zul-qarnain built the Iron structure to restrain the Gog and Magog . Hence the city that mentioned in the verse you mentioned should be the city where Zul-qarnain reached .

The description of the city is found in the Qur'an :

Chapter 18

83. They ask thee concerning Zul-qarnain [or Dhul-qarnain]. Say, 'I will rehearse to you something of his story.'
84. Verily We established his power on earth, and We gave him the ways and the means to all ends.
85. One (such) way he followed,
86. Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it (the water) he found a People: We said: 'O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness.'
87. He said: 'Whoever doth wrong, him shall we punish; then shall he be sent back to his Lord; and He will punish him with a punishment unheard-of (before).
88. But whoever believes, and works righteousness,- he shall have a goodly reward, and easy will be his task as We order it by our Command.'
89. Then followed he (another) way,
90. Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against the sun.
91. (He left them) as they were: We completely understood what was before him.
92. Then followed he (another) way,
93. Until, when he reached (a tract) between two mountains, he found, beneath them, a people who scarcely understood a word.
94. They said: 'O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (People) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them?'
95. He said: '(The power) in which my Lord has established me is better (than tribute): Help me therefore with strength (and labour): I will erect a strong barrier between you and them:
96. Bring me blocks of iron.' At length, when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain-sides, He said, 'Blow (with your bellows)' Then, when he had made it (red) as fire, he said: 'Bring me, that I may pour over it, molten lead.'

In chapter 21 verse 95 we learn that Allah destroyed a City.Further we learn on the prohibition of that people from returning.
Now you mention the description of that city from chapter 18.
Brother you need to provide us with proof that the description of the city from chapter 18 is the same city that Allah speaks about in
chapter 21.
Thanks in advance.

Isn't the link Gog and Magog in those two verses ? Zul Qarnain made the barrier and restricted Gog and Magog to reach to the city ( Chapter 18) . When the ban would over and they would reach to the city ( Chapter 21).
The geographical candidates for this place is in Central Asia , e.g., Derbent or Northern Iran etc. which were in course of times destructed by different rules and invaders . Hope it makes sense .

Sorry what you say does not makes sense.
In chapter 21 Allah tells us about a city that he destroyed and the people of that city are prohibited from
returning to the city until the dam of Gog and Magog are opened.
In chapter 18 we learn about the dam being built by Zul Qarnain. Now in this chapter nothing is mentioned about
the destroyed city.Nor is there any mention about prohibition.
Brother there is only one city that Allah destroyed. And it was destroyed brick by brick.Even the foundations was destroyed.
That city is Jerusalem.
The people of the city was the children of Israel.
Finally on your geographical candidate.
According to chapter 18.Zul Qarnain build a dam wall(barrier) to keep Gog and Magog away from the people of the South.
So the question is who are Gog and Magog?
Keep in mind that they have to be from the North of central Asia.

Bani Israel even not remotely mentioned there nor Jerusalem in anywhere in the Qur'an . So you are allowed to imagine what you think though that can not be found in Qur'an .

On the other hand Gog and Magog are explicitly mentioned in those verses , which then made it a strong clue to find the answers :

Q.Who are prohibited ?
A. Gog and Magog ( Qur'an 18:97)
Q. When was it prohibited ?
A. The time Zul-Qaranain built the barriers .( Qur'an 18:96)
Q. Where is the city ?
A. Where Zul-Qarnain built the mighty barrier , close to a murky watery body , full of mountains , where sun played a part for the people's physical shape , where people talked obscure language etc. ( Qur'an 18:83-96)
Q. Who would return to the city ?
A. Gog and Magog ( Qur'an 21:96)
Q. How would they return to the city ?
A. As the barrier would be open for them ( Qur'an 21:96)

There is not a single historical shred of evidence that suggest a City was destroyed in this region.
To the contrary there is historical evidence to prove that the only City that Almighty God destroyed was Jerusalem.

Brother Union this is what Chapter 18 states.
Chapter 18

83. They ask thee concerning Zul-qarnain [or Dhul-qarnain]. Say, 'I will rehearse to you something of his story.'

Now can you spot the difference.
Please brother read carefully.
He never built the barrier near any City nor did he build the barrier close to any murky watery body.
Please study and don't conjecture because its leads to misguidance.

Salam . The key Clues to ponder are :

01- Barrie of Zul-Qarnain
02- Gog and Magog
03- Destruction of the City .

You are focusing only on the third point and leaving others aside . The city should have have all those three in common . Jerusalem might have destructed but Zul-Qarnain never made the barrier in Jerusalem . Historically and geographically Great Wall of Gorgan located in Gorgan of Golestan province of Iran is probably the answer .

Oh my God are you at it again. That is conjecturing.Brother if you state Great Wall of Gorgan then you not studying the Noble Quraan.
The Noble Quraan is very clear verse 96.
96." Bring me blocks of iron.' At length, when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain-sides,"
Brother go and visit the Great Wall of Gorgan and then tell me if its built between two steep mountain sides.
And brother you right Zul-Qarnain never built any barrier in Jerusalem. But the only City that Allah destroyed was
Jerusalem and the only people that was prohibited from entering that City was the Children of Israel(Bani Israel).
Chapter 21 Verse 95/96 is very clear.
"And prohibition upon a city which we have destroyed(Jerusalem) that they will not return (Children of Israel)
Until(this is key word.Allah sets out a condition)
when (the gate/wall) has been opened , Gog and Magog will ascend/reach there from all hills"
Its so simple and i just don't understand why you having difficulty.

Technically speaking the term used in verse 18:96 does not mean mountain or cliff . The Arabic of Mountain is جَبَل (Jabal) and the same is for cliff is جُرْف ( Khurf) while the verse used الصدفين. The tri-letter root of this word is Sad-Dal-Fa used elsewhere in Qur'an as verb ( e.g., 6:46 and 6:147) . Both of them in meaning to turn away/shunning/resisting/moving away etc. . Therefore الصدفين. used in the verse should be understood technically as a material construction that is used to turn away ( of enemies) , e.g., fort.
Palisade and forts typically constructed when somebody makes a defensive wall , which is also been found in the Great wall of Gorgan .

All you said in brackets are not words of GOD but your own , hence I am not obliged to admit when the clue of Gog and Magog is there from GOD , I feel it more safe to understand they way I did . Thanks .
