Hell, I know you're "bad". I just couldn't figure out if you were just being naughty.
This is a request to be more PC in general.
Why is this so offensive?
What if another gay person is OK with it? What if 50 people are OK with it and 50 people are not OK with it? What if there is simply no intent from the speaker to offend anyone?

My A.A. sponsor is a gay man.
He refers to himself as "gay".
Good 'nuff for me.
I call him Rodney which is his name.
Other issues like sexual orientation mean nothing to me.
I don't even care about his politics, if any, or what his favorite foods are.
He and I keep one another from addiction and death.
There is only that, nothing else.
The beauty of recovery in A.A. is that all suffering people, regardless of sexual orientation,
politics, race, creed, religion, or lack of religion, have nothing to do with recovery
from a hopeless state of body and mind.
A.A. members join hands and pray and give thanks to a Power greater than man.
We choose our own conception of that Power.
Most, even devout atheists, come to believe in a Power greater than themselves.
Alcoholism killed my mother, father, most of my aunts and uncles and is killing
my only sibling.
If she isn't dead already.

Doesn't that really depends on how one defines their terms?
I try to stay away from labels altogether. People are people. Besides, I don't know what all those initials stand for anyway.

When people start referring to to it as "homosexual grocery shopping"....
I think grocery shopping is gay.
I don't like doing it. I would avoid it if I could.
By "gay" in this context I mean gay as in:
I hate broccoli! Broccoli is gay!
or
OMG! I have to do a three page report for EngLit by Friday. My teacher is soooooo gay!
