Yes its would be nice if people could simply give their opinion without being told they are wrong, judged etc.
Just give opinions and discuss the why's would be nice many times without all the judgement and you're wrong especially since most opinions are based solely on the idividual, not the bible, society, science, etc.

You brought up points to discuss, points that inevitably will be debated, and brought them up in a debateful manner. And even in regular discussion one must be able to verify their claims. I just don't tell people in Indiana the Scrub Jay has a hideous squawk, I send them a recording so they can here that repulsive noise.
And keep in mind when you say "none of this and that and just what you know," there are many of us here who are very highly knowledgeable in various issues and we can produce an entire lecture series without having to look anything up.

I wish there were more people like you who would just let people define themselves...unfortunately from my life experience there is so much hate. I have no choice but to justify my existance and fight for my rights. You have the luxury to ignore gender issues. I do not.

If John Doe doesn't think its ok with people being gay, he should be able to explain his why without being told he's stupid, wrong, or being judged. After all its his opinion.

Since this has been moved to debates,,,
If I say dogs rule and cats suck someone will tell me I'm wrong or don't know what I'm talking about. But yet its my opinion and how I feel.

But in reality neither dogs nor cats are as great as horses in my opinion. However as a horse breeder I have two dogs. One blue heeler and one german shepherd.
The german shepherd helps with the horses but is mainly for their protection whereas the blue heeler is mainly for the horses but helps with their protection. They all have their place.
Convince me I'm wrong?

Wow, harsh.
Had a paragraph about folks who believe in supernatural stuff and it was pretty harsh sounding.
Not that I actually judge people but it came off sounding like I did. Just cause how I view it.
But my experience is subjective, so I understand how my views benefit me but don't see that they necessarily benefit anyone else.
Practically a gosh darn antitheist.
But I'm an antitheist toward myself. It is the most accurate understanding view of reality that I know of, but again subjective.

What I said is exactly how I'm countering what you said: I'm calling it out as inconsistent, hateful, and equivocal. Any pretense of "just talking" was gone the moment you started making misinformed and deliberately inflammatory statements about certain groups.

No religion. No science. No survey. No research studies. No news reports. No Youtube videos. No politics. No Wikipedia . Nothing. Let’s try and talk to each other with nothing other than what we know from our life, education and experiences. What I mean is this, if I walked up to you and we started talking about any topic, let’s talk about this topic simply based off your life experiences, what makes sense and what we have observed. Here is an example below


Statement/Example 1:

Earthtank: Seeing today how the world is all about not hurting anyone’s feelings I personally disagree with how portray fat as the new beautiful. Cosmopolitan even put a fat chick on their cover. Now I am not talking about people that are fat due to medical issues, I am talking about how today parts of the media push fat as something “beautiful” or as “be happy being fat” or anything along those line. I have no problem with fat people, I just don’t like this message because it gives people the wrong idea. Being fat is NOT in any way shape or form a healthy lifestyle and therefore, we should not being telling people that it is, I am also not saying everyone needs to be a skinny model but, we should be encouraging or at the very least advising, fat people to eat healthier and have some form of activity (walking, running) as part of their daily life.


So notice what I did not do in my statement/example, I did not cite sources that speak about BMI, obesity, diabetes, blood pressure or anything else. Simple statement and its justification. Can we do that? I can’t stand how every time anyone says something someone disagrees with they immediately say “what does god say” “what study” “what’s your evidence” so let’s just talk, keep it simple. We do not have to agree and I won’t ask you to scientifically justify your position.

Here is another one

Statement/Example 2: Here’s a controversial one for you lol

Earthtank: I do not think a man can be a woman or vice versa nor can they know how it feels to be the opposite sex/gender. When a man says he is now a woman or has felt like he was a woman for a while how does he know that? Let’s assume this man is 18 years old. I used 18 as opposed to a younger age since I would assume someone at 18 has more life experience than a 7 or 12 year old and can formulate their words and thoughts a lot better. So how does a man who’s lived as a man for 18 years know what it is to be a woman? Has he ever had his period? Has he ever had the mood swings that are associated with periods? Has he been treated like a woman since birth? Does he know what it actually feels like to truly be a woman (mentally and physically)? I can go on and on but you get the idea. So when we already know the answers to all those questions are NO then, how can I (or anyone) agree that this man is now a woman because he says so? By the way, I did not even get into the biological and physical differences. If I said I identified as a cat today, would you treat and accept me as one lol? If you said yes then, I truly feel bad for you lol because how the heck do I even know what a cat feels? (By the way, there is a girl that identifies as a cat lol yes she is brain damaged imo and her bf that “accepts” it is just trying to get laid)


Again, in statement/example 2: I did not bring up any science or anything else and gave my opinion. Please do the same.



The main reason I want to “just talk” and not cite any kind of sources is because unfortunately, you can find anything you want on the internet. Which reminds me of the skit “if google was a guy” (look it up, it’s pretty funny) a girl walks in “searching” for “vaccines cause autism” he tells her that he’s found 1000s of sources that say no but a few that say yes so she takes that report and says “I knew it”. Point is whether is about vaccines, war, immigration or anything else people that want to get in a “sources war” will both end up wasting their time as both people will find what they are looking for. So let’s forget all that stuff and lets talk.

Scenario 1. Beauty standards have drastically changed. Thin was in now it’s not. Big is beautiful. It was once considered a sign of class in western society in the past, right? Like if you were pale and “big” it meant you had money.
Scenario 2. Ironically talking to people with gender dysphoria and other gender identities has made me far more sympathetic to their cause and I am proud to be an ally. Even though I often suck at it

Agree and true however, i never said anything about beauty standards or even called the fat chick ugly, my point was its unhealthy. Seems people dont respond to what i said but what they think or hope i said in order to make their lives easier.

Folks "care" but don't really care.
The developmentally disabled get stuck in homes for someone else to take care of.
If you care there is a fear that you will be obligated to support them. That they will burden you with all kinds of needs.

The fear of that is just too much for some folks to handle. Takes a special person and I guess there are not many of that kind around.
