Looks like Kennedy will suspend campaign, endorse Trump

Republicans are trying to use that "state's rights" thing right now. They don't think the federal government should have a say in abortion -- so they give it to state governments! What makes the state any more wise on the matter -- why not county or municipal governments?

The thing about Roe v Wade is really quite simple -- no government had anything to say about it. Under Roe, every woman (the concerned party) in every part of the country could make her own choice for herself. THAT IS WHAT LIBERTY IS. @Twilight Hue, on the other hand, thinks "liberty" is whatever yields up the result that @Twilight Hue thinks is the right one. It's a bit skewed, but the best he can do.
Republicans are all for states rights up until things don't go their way. They cried foul when individual states started legalizing gay marriage and medical and/or recreational cannabis. In fact, Ohio republicans recently tried to defy referendum results that would protect abortion rights and legalize cannabis. The right truly hates liberty and democracy. They can gobble about freedom all day long but actions speak louder than words.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
People make mistakes all of the time. Sadly Hillary did not admit to being wrong in her earlier stance. Perhaps that is one of the reasons that I did not like her. Most politicians do not realize that there can be great strength in admitting that you are wrong at times.
Just so we're clear. People make mistakes all the time. Most politicians do not realize that there can be great strength in admitting that you are wrong at times. Gotcha.

Trump was using the border to run on. Biden wanted it to run on which is why Biden waited until election year, not his first 3+ years to do anything about it. He sure didnt want Trump too have it.

That is false. Biden was preoccupied with the border crisis throughout his first term, but Republicans opposed progress almost every step of the way. When he finally managed to extract a compromise bill that would pass both houses, Donald Trump told Republicans in both houses not to vote for their own bill. That bill would have done a great deal to solve the border crisis, but you are right. Trump wanted to run on it and feared that the solution would help Joe Biden, not himself. As always, he put himself ahead of both country and party.

Just like Trump using no taxes on tips to run on, now Harris is using no taxes on tips to run on. She doesn't want Trump to have it.

Its all a political game. However its the first I remember one side stealing the platform/promises of the other side to run on theirself.

Must be good idea's if the dems are taking them and using them to run on.

Or she just doesn't oppose the policy and feels no need to fight him on that issue. The difference is that Harris would raise taxes on wealthy individuals like Trump and other billionaires to make up the shortfall. Republicans would shift the burden to taxpayers who are less able to afford it. Anyway, you appear to approve when Trump plays political games--for example, killing the border bill so that he would have the issue "to run on". I repeated your words here to emphasize your double standard on "political game".

All is fair in love and war... And its political wars that are going on.

Actually, I don't agree that all is fair in either love or war. There are dishonorable ways to conduct both, and the adulterer, President Bone Spurs, excels in such dishonorable behavior.

I’m not opposed to gay marriage, I was pointing out that Hillary was and that you would call her hateful today.

Your Hatred for Christians and morality that’s inconvenient to you is your own problem.
I would call her hateful today if she were still saying it. But she isn't.

She has evolved and changed her mind over time, as new information has come to light , as intelligent people should, and often do.

It is expected that Kennedy will announce on Friday that he will suspend his campaign, and likely endorse Donald Trump. It seems there have been talks.

How do you think this will affect the election going forward? His support is somewhere between 5%-10%.
Maybe a Trojan Horse in disguise. Kennedy's popularity was in large part against Biden and Kennedy legacy, both I believe no longer transfer to Trump. You need to check out what his sister said:

Hear RFK Jr.'s sister's response to her brother endorsing Trump

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s sister and human rights activist Kerry Kennedy joins CNN’s Kaitlan Collins and shares her reaction to her brother announcing that he is suspending his campaign and endorsing former President Donald Trump.

Scary picture of Kennedy.

Nice sympathy for Trump here. It's republicans saying it's a huge threat to the nation, but you are only critical of Biden? And when Biden says he will sign a bill that will reform the laws, Trump sabotages it, and not a simgle word against for it. Or against the republicans. You pretty outed yourself on this one.

As if Trump and republicans give a crap about those who work for tips. You can't seriously be taking Trump's word for it, are you?

It is more of a democrat idea so natura; Harris will actually honor the commitment.

And what many don't realize is that republicans tend to want less spent on education to help cut the deficit, and this means states get fewer grants, and that means school districts don't get the money they need and will increase fees on parents of students. If you have three or four kids in schools that gets expensive. It's the trickle down costs that republicans in congress impose on the average citizen in a way few see it.

Exactly my observation. Many give Trump a pass for some unknown reason. I wonder if many cynical people are just curious of how much chaos Trump will cause if he wins, and they secretely want him to win for the entertainment value.

I have been reading through this thread and noticed that some people who posted here might not actually have seen the entirety of RFK’s speech, so, I thought I would post it here so people can find out what he said for themselves…

A child killed in abortion has NO rights!
