Mandatory Vaccinations?

Forgive me for being a bit tangential. But I’ve always wondered
How high is the standards of your FDA? I assume they are fairly strict.
I just mean what you guys approve takes a lot longer (and minor sometimes major changes in “recipes”) in my country. I’m just curious as to why that may be.

To me its seems it varies. I don't know what their set standard is or if its always followed.

Weird. Is it because you guys don’t have a universal healthcare system? Or is it all the lawsuits I always hear about in the US?

I read it and understood it well. Emegercy use isn't fully approved. The FDA wants longer studies before they will fully approve them.

Why? An overabundance of caution. A normal approval takes six months from the time of application by a developer.

What is really funny is the people who are yelling "IT'S NOT FULLY APPROVED" are the same ones who abhor government bureaucracy and red tape in all other things.

And some of them thought hydroxychloroquine was a good idea.

Im sticking to what I always have. I don't take any medications that aren't approved or have a lengthy study behind them.

Do you take any herbals? I know, technically they are not medications. However, they are not approved nor are they evaluated. Many people who are railing against the Covid vaccines because they are not "fully approved" take herbals.

Well, your quote shows that you are one of those people referencing full approval. Does your "I'm not those same people" comment then mean that you are OK with lots of bureaucratic red tape in general?

The irony here is that the three main vaccines being used here have been used on more people than any previous vaccine, thus the FDA is really taking more time than is needed. However, I can't blame them for being extra cautious.

I was merely curious. I only really know the US healthcare model from the perspective of an outsider (ie that it is highly expensive, cruel and run entirely for profit.) I was merely curious if that factored into to your FDA. As my government is far more strict on what is approved (seemingly.)

I try to keep politics out of my decisions.

Nope. I take a vitamin C and B12 daily.

It seems like you guys are scrambling just as we are.

https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-...-19-vaccine-12-15-year-olds-2021-07-22/SYDNEY, July 23 (Reuters) - Australia's New South Wales state on Friday reported its biggest daily rise in new COVID-19 cases this year, prompting a tighter lockdown in Sydney and a request for additional vaccine doses which was rebuffed by other state leaders.

State premier Gladys Berejiklian characterised the escalating virus outbreak as a "national emergency" and raised the likelihood that stay-home orders for the country's biggest city would be extended beyond the current end-date of July 30.

"There is no doubt that the numbers are not going in the direction we were hoping they would at this stage," Berejiklian said as she announced 136 new cases in the New South Wales.
For "wealthy" countries like Aus and USA this epidemic should be all but done by now. But, it's not.

Covid-19 new cases.. yesterday's numbers.

Maybe we should curb down traveling because new variants that pop up in others countries don't get brought to others countries by the breeze blowing.

Its natural occuring. Even vitamin D from the sun. Just imagine trying to appprove and regulate that lol

Aah. The old "natural occurring" argument.

Sugar is natural. When is the last time you sucked on a stalk of cane.
Mushrooms are natural. Many will kill you (some just make you see music).
Salt is natural. Our ancestors consumed in a lifetime the amount we get from a Big Mac with Fries.
