Its already legal in may places. I smell it all over the place now. Its a terrible development for of declining culture! Everyone will be paying the price for pot heads all over doing nothing!

In 20 years "more money needs to be provided by congress to pay for drug rehab becuse rehab is a human right" bla bla bla !
Are you joking around?

As for all drugs, nope. For example I have seen too many methed up people doing crazy crap.
Yes, all drugs. It's a health issue, and decriminalizing personal use and possession would free up resources to deal with the health aspect of it. I've known meth addicts, crackheads and junkies. They're all mentally ill to begin with. One of my friends who became addicted to meth was also being pimped out. She ended up losing everything - her career, her home, her car and eventually her life. I just don't see the point in jailing such people. We need to create a working mental health system in this country. It doesn't exist at the moment. I know, because I've been going through it for almost most of my life at this point.

No! Genetically modified weed is much stronger now than ever!
Some of it is, depends on what potency you buy. Here, you can buy anything from 0.05% THC all the way up to 80% THC which mostly comes in oil form. You can also buy products with just CBD and no THC at all. I buy that one for my mom all the time.
Its terrible but the Left continues to encourage self destruction!
It has nothing to do with self-destruction. Don't know where you get that from. Or anything about "the left."

Do you believe that alcohol and tobacco should be banned and prohibited as well? What about caffeine, sugar, fastfood, and other unhealthy things?
It would hypocritical otherwise.

Why does the right hate freedom?

That fight was lost on alcohol, the predictions came true on deaths and cost to society which have become an acceptable amount of loss. The weed battle is lost as well, I'm simply saying it's another blow to our declining culture.

Yet fast food has killed far more than cannabis ever has. Obesity is the leading cause of death in the U.S. whereas there are no known deaths from cannabis overdose.

The culture that elected Trump is already laying face down in the latrine, and cannabis had nothing to do with that.

Nope. Could make your concentration better, actually.

I don't favor the government taxing a plant you grow for personal useage, anyway.

I was being facetious. Personally, I strongly favor legalization of marijuana. Bans don't prevent it from being used; only from being properly regulated. It's also not as harmful as tobacco and alcohol, which are both legal.

Not just fast food, but sugar specifically. 100-200 years from now people are going to look back at us putting sugar in our food in the same light that we look back at people putting lead in their food like they did in the dark ages

I'm definitly in favor of a steep soda tax, personally

High fructose corn syrup usage in the U.S. is a huge problem.

I just got back from my doctor's office (MD, Internal Medicine). She sells a variety of combinations and strengths of CBD and CBD with THC. We expats here in Mexico are a retired demographic, and the use of oils, edibles, and smokables is widespread - probably about 50%. have a friend who buys seeds from Amsterdam and Morocco, and raises plants that are taller than his perimeter wall, and it's not an issue for anybody. He just gives it to his friends, because why not?

Back in the day, my wife and I attended dozens of Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers concerts - two very different cultures and types of fans. At the Allman Brothers concerts, people were drinking beer in cups and were rowdy, bumping into one another and spilling beer (the band came out of Georgia). The Dead concerts had everybody with red, droopy eyes, smiling and peaceful, along with several tripping (the band came out of California).

Yes marijuana should be legalised, but available on prescription only. That way the doctor can check if the drug is causing psychosis.
Not mentioned on this thread. Marijuana can cause short term mental problems and users are more likely to develop schizophrenia and does worsen those with preexisting schizophrenia

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I don't know and don't care one way or the other to be honest. I don't use it and basically just want to be left out of the equation. Y'all users figure it out and let me know what you decide! LOL

I don't like the idea that intoxicants are easily abused but having them illegal increases the likelihood of black market sales, dealers, etc. It's hard to know exactly what to do. I guess we will see how it plays out in regard to marijuana.
