Maybe I don't want to be a Christian any more

Depends Upon My Mood..
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

I am not a prisoner.Maybe two thousand years ago I would have been.

And if I ever dont walk in a manner "worthy" it would only be because I hurt people or ran them off.

Jesus isnt a "ball and chain" ..that I should expect to be punished for..Unless you are in to that kind of stuff.

Oh and by the way?? You are the one (one of them) trying to do exactly that. You must be a not a "real" Christian.

Love

Dallas

Christian Pilgrim – when you joined your current church were you encouraged to change your name or to adopt a spiritual title?

To CP, if other people actually like you.... you couldn't possibly be a (real) christian.

In his mind, since he's liked the least, ... it's proof for him, that he's the best christian around.

hehe. It makes me laugh, cause it's true. :D

You asked about my Church home, CP, Pray tell, what is your denomination?

I can attend any bible authority church. I have a membership at this denomination, even though I moved away from that particular church.

Presbyterian Church in America

I attend a non-denomination church since it seems to be the best church in where I currently live. This particular website is what I believe to be important and most represent my personal beliefs as a Christian. It is a multi-denominational Christian alliance.

Dear sister in Christ,

Please consider finding fellowship in a Bible believing church. You have been set apart by God as a Christian. You should be influenced by believers in Christ, and not unbelievers.

Some people could drop the "Christian" label and people would know anyway.

Other people need to hang on to it because if you took away the Christian label, there wouldn't be anything recognizably Christian left.

Oh, damn, and I have to wait before giving you frubals again....

Christianity is about Jesus Christ and not about His people. The Christian Faith is not about God making much about His children. Christianity is about His children making much about Jesus Christ.

I can't help but think that CP is proving Kat's point in the OP.
Yeah, when she started this thread I knew exactly who was causing the problem. Needless to say, I'm joining her ranks.

I've worked too hard to get to the point where I can reach out to everyone regardless of anything that could stand in the way then here comes people like CP.

Makes me want to go to Luna, Mars, anywhere I can to get away from people that are that self-righteous. Thankfully there is one thing that gives me some reassurance: pride cometh before the fall.

Christianity is about Jesus Christ and not about His people.

I see. So the church doesn't count. Jesus seemed to be under the impression that it did.

The Christian Faith is not about God making much about His children. Christianity is about His children making much about Jesus Christ.

Don't see how this addresses my post; I was talking about people who do much, forgive much, show much faith, and give much of themselves and therefore don't need a label, as opposed to those who just use the label to make much of themselves.

And by much, of course, I mean much noise and not much else.
