Boo Friggin HooWould it be against the rules for the masculism DIR to discuss how radical feminism is harming the male psyche?
I'd comment on that. Second thread: male-on-male rape. It's outrageously common in conflict zones, but everybody pretends it doesn't happen at all. Survivors can't talk about it and there wouldn't be anybody listening if they did.
Why specifically male-on-male rape?
Because I just read a detailed article about it and it's fresh in my mind. I knew women and girls in conflict zones are extremely vulnerable to sexual assault. It came as a surprise to me that men are too. Even more so, sometimes. One survey of freed captives found that while 80% of the women had been raped by their captors, 100% of the men had. But there are no support services for them. Most of the time they won't even tell their wives for fear they'll leave. Sadly a justifiable fear. The physical damage is awful and permanent.
Anyway, I think it's a serious problem.

All things considered, I voted against a "men's issues" forum. While I think that there are political and social issues that affect men and certainly warrant serious discussion, I don't the see the need for a special section to do it in.
Unfortunately, I think it would become an "anti-feminism" forum and would be detrimental in the long run.
It's terrible, and again shows why rape is a crime of power, and not sex.
Honest to goodness, a part of me really hopes - if a Masculinist Only forum is created - that this DIR approaches the subject of male survivors of rape to offer an extremely pertinent and important point about the violence of the crime.
One problem is that if a non-feminist wants to discuss it, it cannot be done in the Feminism Only forum. To the extent that gender issues are a worry, Feminism seems to cover it well enough. I will vote against creating this Masculism DIR.
Ha, I got a 45 for liberal feminist.
Same here, though with a score of 47.
Which test are you taking?
Funny you should mention a test to be considered for entrance to the Feminism DIR
Feminist Perspectives Scale
