Oh so suddenly it's not about Germany anymore.
Gotta love those mobile goalposts.

Also the only reason the UK doesn't have something similar is because the British electoral law is inherently undemocratic.

My bad,I thought it was because we had much weaker far right parties than Germany,Europe, don’t even go there, game over, case closed.

It's a matter of fact that FPTP leads to undemocratic results.
I could show you the comparison for Germany in which MMPR is used compared to the outcome if it was FPTP. Though I doubt you'd understand it.

Really that’s a long yawn,I would expect more from you,you sound like a remainer, that’s how it’s done here,it’s not pretty but if you enter a race you are pretty dumb if you don’t know the rules

Just to add, does that then mean that in Germany the proportion of the far right is greater than the UKs?,it’s not so bad really France probably tops the chart.

It has the advantage of corralling most extremists within the coalitions that are the UK's major parties.

There are times when the 'tail wags the dog' as with the takeover of the Tory Party by its 'UKIP' wing and of the Labour Party by 'Corbynism' - unfortunately for the UK, they happened at the same time.

I disagree,we always had doubts about a “closer union” long before ukip or corbynism, there’s nothing unfortunate about it but I get that the EU is pissed off that they are not good enough that someone should dare leave.

To stay on track and the op though Merkel really screwed up and in some parts loved for it,for others not,it’s ok though I see a commission seat being warmed up for her though,25000 euros a month for sitting on your butt, what’s not to like.

Hm, I hadn't thought of myself as the entire EU.

Anyway I expect you're as uninterested in my reasons for having voted remain as I am of your reasons for voting to leave.

I don't think anybody outside the British Isles actually cares about the UK all that much.

Well thinkings free, that’s all I have to say.
No need to get angry about it, this wasn't a personal attack, just an acknowledgement that the UK - like most European countries, really - isn't all that important any more in the global scheme of things.

Who said I’m angry,I would say though the EU commission really do think they are, that’s going off topic so I’ll leave it there.
